  • What happened to aliens today?!?!

  • I dunno, I could argue Praetorians are more badass looking. But thats just me

  • I find this very difficult to masturbate to :(

  • looks like a queen futuristic cockroach...*shiver*

  • looks like a two sided dildoh

  • @Calisheriff how? what the fuck kinda porn have you bin whatching!?!?

  • @XENOMORPHMANIAC Dont act like you havnt gone through your mommy's droors and found a few of these

  • @Calisheriff hahahaha lol nice one

  • @Calisheriff What's a droor?

  • @Calisheriff Perhaps it's because it was designed to be phallic?

  • Dude! this shit scared the crap out of me. high sound, and first 3 seconds of darknes, and then high music and alien head.

  • Cameron's design is much better than that, looks like shit

  • @8911145533 You are right. Cameron's design is shit. The original head is the best design.

  • @nicolashrv That's not what i said, Cameron's is better, the original looks like crap.

  • @8911145533 Cameron's "design" is the same as this.....he made no design!

He was just too lazy to put the top cos it resembled a lot to a penis.

And the hull its a billion times better in the design.

  • @nicolashrv There's no ridges on this, so yes he did alter it

  • @8911145533 You should take some times to watch the other videos of the design process.....this has those, and even in this one you can clearly see them.

    Cameron's version is crap.

  • @nicolashrv Well the Alien was just a few hours old in Alien so it might have altered it's look later on, doesn't really matter, I like Cameron's Aliens better than Ridley's Alien

  • thats their excuse. The actual reason was this resembles a penis too much, and they didnt want to introduce any sexual icon in his film.

And Aliens totally trashed the real meaning of Alien. The first movie was an excellent allegory about rape.

Aliens is just the "bastardized" version, because the average USA audiences cant understand movies with allegories. They just react to explosions and nudity or violence. They need those stupid scenes "explaining" what happened if the plot is elaborated.

  • @nicolashrv Aliens did actually make the creature more scary, The first movie was never scary to me cause the Aline never showed some intelligence, In Aliens they knew how to cut the power and they found a way into the complex that the humans didn't even know of, that's some scary shit right there, A being that's really really deadly and smart enough to outsmart trained Marines

  • @8911145533 In Alien the creature found the way to the escape ship, knew it had to wait for Ripley to turn it on or both will die. Is that not intelligence??

In fact, the book originally shows Ash suggested them to comunicate with it, and even Scott wanted it to imitate Ripley's voice to send the sign off message. (But this are not in the movie, so can be out of consideration)

Aliens turned the creature into BUGS.

  • @nicolashrv There is nothing in the movie that suggest that the creature knew the ship was about to explode, If you ask me it was just pure luck that he found the shuttle, Or the fact that the ship had sirens and shit on and the place was in chaos and the shuttle was much quieter and more comfy

  • @8911145533 Right.......how do u explain it didnt killed Ripley, but remain hidden till they escaped?

The alien saw the cat inside the box and figured out she was trying to escape.

Plus also in aliens could have cut the powers as a coincidence, while moving through the tunnels, damaging the electric cables, so maybe turns out they are just stupid and clumsy.

  • @nicolashrv I believe Ridley himself said that the creature had a very short lifespan and was dying at that point, I believe it had something to do with the Egg morphing stuff. And when Ripley saw the Alien in the shuttle the creature wasn't in a hurry to kill Ripley. And Cameron said that the creatures where smart enough to cut the power

  • @8911145533 You believe wrong. Ripley never said in Alien any of that. And I cant believe what u just said!! HAHAHHAAAAA!!! So you talked with the creature like Ash sugested!! You both went for a coffee and it told you that!!

Please, dont invent things, and if you want to refute, please come with something better than "it had no rush"

The fact remains that in Aliens the creatures could have easily cause a short-circuit by breaking some cables. They didnt pressed the switch "OFF" like u think

  • @nicolashrv Never said that they just switched the off button. And i didn't invent anything watch the audio commentary on Alien, And the Alien is supposed to be the deadliest creature in the universe, It killed all of the other crew members as soon as it laid it's eyes on them, BUT in the shuttle it just laid dormant and left Ripley alone??, At least until she tried to blow it out of the shuttle

  • @8911145533 You said they were intelligent for cutting the electricity, means they knew about the electric system instalation, and how to shut it down.

And you said it yourself!!! If it killed EVERYONE just at first sight, how its possible it didnt killed Ripley, other than knew she will escape, and needed her to operate the ship.

There is absolute NO OTHER explanation. If it wanted to hibernate, could have done it where it already was hiding, in the airlock.

  • @nicolashrv true but i never said how they did it, they obviously destroyed something to cut the power like you said, But they sure as hell didn't just turn of the switch. It wasn't even hiding in the airlock at that time, it was dying at that point, Egg morphing is canon these days and they can only do it once or twice then they will die slowly, that's the only reason it didn't attack her directly. The Alien is smart but it's not nearly smart enough realize the ship will explode.

  • @8911145533 You dont get it, if they cut it on PURPOSE like you said (cos you claim they are smart, according to Cameron, he proved it this way) they knew what to cut, in order to shut down the electric system.

The alien was NOT dying, and if you mean the egg morphing in the Director's Cut, that was Incubation, he used the bodies of Brett and Dallas to create new eggs. NOT cos it was dying.

It saw Ripley wanted to escape, and she went to pick the cat and brought it with her.

  • @nicolashrv I never said it did it because it was dying, the egg morphing uses up most of the Alien's energy and once it as been used the creature would die, at least that's what they say on the extra dvd that comes with alien quadrilogy

  • @8911145533 I quote you "it was dying at that point", this ONLY means you said it was dying (at that point)

And "they" are totally crazy. The egg is supposed to get his energy from the body its morphing into new egg (brett and dallas)...plus this scene makes ridiculous the fact there is an alien queen. If the aliens are capable of self reproduction, there is no need of a queen. Plus it makes more sense that the alien was created by something, like Ridley wants to implicate now with Prometheus

  • @nicolashrv It wouldn't be the perfect being if they needed a queen to reproduce now would it? And as i see it egg morphing is just used in the absence of a queen since it's not very effective and takes far to long and it requires several hosts to create a handful of Aliens.

  • @8911145533 Who said it takes so much time? Brett was almost an egg (probaly halfway there) and its been like what? 5-6hs?? And one single Alien can turn into a new egg any organism he finds. If it hunts 5 humans (or whatever), it will have 5 eggs ready to impregnate 5 host (all in 24hs) means in 1 more day, you will have 25 aliens, if each one fills the 20 quote. 2 days means 500 aliens, and 3 days 10.000 aliens.

Thats quite a lot, dont u think?

  • @nicolashrv It's still not as effective as having a queen laying all the eggs, the two hosts makes to aliens, instead of one to be the egg and the other the host. less effective

  • @8911145533 a queen is less effective, because if there are no aliens to bring host to the nest, who will bring them?? she will be making eggs, not hunting.

This way, any alien can breed all over the galaxy. If the queen find no host, it can only put eggs until they cover his neck and cant move.

And in the case of Alien, it was impossible to have an outbreak, if it was not able to reproduce.

Sorry, but Queen concept for alien is lame and not from a "perfect" organism.

  • @nicolashrv i agree, and making them like ants was such a bad idea, its only james cameron who did that

  • @8911145533 I correct myself, in 2 days will be 125 and 3 days 625.....till a week 390.625 aliens.

  • @nicolashrv Not "Ripley." RIDLEY. As in, Ridley Scott, the guy who directed Alien.

He stated in interviews that the creature in the first movie was nearing the end of its life because he always envisioned it having a life cycle that lasted "only days" (that was Ridley's logic behind shooting the original 'cocoon' sequence... it was meant to be the creature ensuring the survival of its species, and so forth). If you track down the "Alien" magazine special from 1979, it's mentioned in there.

  • @jjobie Could be, and makes sense cos he thought about the Alien as a bio-weapon created by the Space Jockey to wipe out a planet.

Still, doesn't contradicts the fact it had intelligence (more than just a bug) and it figured out Ripley wanted to escape in the shuttle and needed her alive to escape.

  • Actually if you watch the documentary about the making of "Aliens," or read some of the many articles written about the production, it's stated by Cameron and by a number of the other members of the production crew that the smooth head covering was removed (at Cameron's insistence) because he planned to have the aliens moving around much more - running, climbing walls, etc. - and he believed the clear cover over the head would be too "fragile" to withstand the abuse. It's been mentioned often.

  • @jjobie Later, of course, Cameron would state in interviews that it was a 'creative' decision because he liked how it looked WITHOUT the smooth covering, but if you watch the interviews with the other crew members they mention more than once that Cameron simply didn't want to have to deal with worrying about the clear covering on the alien headpiece.

  • @jjobie Yes, I heard about that.....my point its Cameron made NO DESIGN. The other guy was saying "Cameron's design was scarier" which is untrue, Cameron did NOTHING. Just removed the hull to avoid being cracked, plus it reduces the sexual tone of the creature.

And I have to add something to the "morphing egg" theory : You don't need two hosts to have an alien. Example : Kane got infected, Chestburster comes out, and use Kane's corpse to morph an egg, there you have a new facehugger.

  • @nicolashrv That was Ridley Scott's original idea, if I remember correctly. The concept of the aliens as a "hive" creature (with a queen, etc.) didn't even exist until Cameron wrote the sequel.

  • Why do you all think it looks like something sexual. If your junk has no balls and curves that much, check yourself into the nearest ER.

  • i wouldnt like that lookin over me when i wake up in my bed. FUCK THAT

  • Horse Cock.

  • looks like a black mans penis

  • @tayba120 thats the way giger designed it...really...

a lot of his art is sexual

  • HI, I HAVE MADE A HALF ALIEN'S HEAD CROSING THE WALL OF PAPER MACHE ON REAL SIZE, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT COLOURS I SHOULD TO BUY, SOMEONE KNOWS?

  • Giger was and still is a god...

  • the head looks all screwed up like they threw it away or something the animatronic guts are hanging out and the lips look like they were ripped of and the domes all dirty

  • Now we know where the term "DICKHEAD" comes from as it sure looks like one!

  • @rangeclerk If that looks like a dick to you, you must have encountered some very odd people indeed!

  • @MegaGayjesus working in Law Enforcement brings a person into contact the average American would not want to me---many con artists, perverts etc are DICKHEADS!

  • @MegaGayjesus

Yes it does look like a dick; H.R. Giger is indeed a very odd person.

  • aliens dun hav eye, i wonder how do they able to hunt?

  • is HR Giger still alive?

  • @solidfreak123

    Yes.

  • @Parabomb311 Yeah I've been thinking it's like a childs head. It's soft and vulnerable but later it hardens. But I guess when they're full grown their forehead keeps smooth but darkens and they loose the dome further back or it dissolves/shrinks, darkens, and forms around the skull.

  • I like the rigged headed aliens better than the original domed version personally

  • man that is impressive!

  • I like the smooth head better, not the ridged one they used in Aliens.

  • @DragonsAutumn

Too much like a penis this one..

  • @spudnick3490 if you think that then you don't know GIGER.....

  • @NinjaToastMan

Then you clearly don't understand the sexualised messages that the movies sends out...Trust me...Look it up...The entire movie has a sexual undertone

  • @spudnick3490 Man that's exactly what i was getting at but seeing that you know aliens like a a true fan i retract my first comment. the most poignant example of this i think is in alien where Lambert is '' skewered'' by the aliens tail lol

  • @DragonsAutumn im the other way around although I like the original alien since the dome is see through cause I love the ridged skull structure. However once we get too Alien Resurection it is the sole reason why I hate the smooth dome.

  • @DragonsAutumn

There are different types of Xenomorphs and their looks differ based on whom they were planted into and "born" from. Xenomorph from first Alien was a "Drone" type, the most simple of them all, while most of the Xenomorphs in "Aliens" where "Praetorian" types - those are the personal body-guards of the "Queen". "Xenomorphs" are super-sized humanoid-like (most of the time) insects with a high-level social structure of behavior, closest Earth example would be Bees and Termites.

  • @Kawayol The truth of the matter is that Ridely Scott worked one the film with H.R.Giger. The second movie was directed by James Cameron and did not involve Giger and so was not allowed to use the original alien design. the ''scorpion'' alien was created along with the xenomorph explanation. both are good films and its interesting to watch how these different and talented directors go about making basicly the same movie.

  • @Kawayol The concept of 'Praetorians' was something introduced in the comic book series, not in the films, and thus is not technically canon to the film saga. The 'drone' idea came from an early draft of the Aliens script where Cameron envisioned small non-lethal versions of the alien warrior scurrying around the Queen alien's chamber tending to the eggs while ignoring Ripley and Newt. (they DO appear in the novelization if you can find a copy).

  • @jjobie

    Thank you Captain O.!

  • @Kawayol Just sayin'.

  • @DragonsAutumn Totally agree it is somewhat more elegant which makes the Alien scarier but Aliens had a great Alien Queen which looked great.

  • he must be so smart since he have huge brain

  • I want that in my living room.

  • I TOO

  • Awesome

  • Best head of all of them.

  • @PijnigeR

I'm selling The Alien Head Limited Edition Boxset on ebay, take a look its item number: 140545642966 - search for that and you should find it!

  • where is that? :S

  • why it wont load??

  • kept expecting it to move or something :)

  • awesome design, scary thing :D

  • it's made of plactic and silicone and various other things like that it would at least a hundred years to breat it down. but it still woudnt rot

  • Although it did seem to change color, probably because of sunlight.

And who knows maybe it does stink though. Not because of rotting like you said but I'm sure it has paint chemicals and whatnot in it, has been transported in trucks/maybe other vehicles and might have been around and/or been in contact with food.

But like I said, who knows?

*Raises glass* Here's to another Alien movie! ;D

  • thats beautiful!

gigers work is amazing. i remember being in high school art class idolising his work and the art teachers couldnt see why a few colourful circes on canvas didnt impress me as much with the artists they liked.

i guess thast why art is odd as an academic subject to grade because it can see seen in so many different ways depending on the person

  • its brillliant ur right but for some reason it scares me more than anything ive ever seen so much so i cant watchh the movie Alien woithout pissing my pants in fear and having terrible nightmares

  • heh- well id probibly say aliens is the greatest film ever made personally but thats just me. its a must see.

giger really is unique. i adore his ideas and art. HR Giger and MC Escher are probibly my favorites :)

their art stands out more than most others even with no colour at all.

    :D

  • true he is unique but apparently Hes a nutcase an i wasnt kidding about the bad nightmares jesus i watchued it before christmas and i wasnt dreaming about the presents id get

  • cool

  • Ho yeah, it looks like a big black cock.

  • The original sculpture/painting IS a big cock

  • what are you 2 pshycos talking about cluzore i know tha aliens lips were made of condoms and its hiss was sizzling bacon but you 2 are just sick

  • Something you should know about Giger.

His art is full of subliminal/not so subliminal sexuality, Do a google imagesearch for Giger. You'll know when you find the painting the Xenomorph is based on.

  • I'd say a majority of Giger fans already knew that buddy. Hell it's rather obvious with most of his work on what body parts he's incorporating.

And never call a Xenomorph a dick head. You might hurt their feelings. :P

  • Since reading the past comments maybe its time to make something clear? The first alien movie was never meant to have a part 2. There the alien would be a 'perfect organism'. Then hollywood needed money and introduced the queen etc. Personally I think that Alien and Alien3 are the only one that fits into the story. AvP was just a lame attempt to make a succesful movie for the money. Sadly, it worked.

  • So detailed. Did the queen in 2 have a skull underneath?

  • no only the first had the see through dome with a skull underneath. after that i guess they scraped it :(

  • The Best!

  • Isn't this the Sideshow model? They also made something like this. Anyway, he looks awesome.

  • beautiful!

  • The voices of the aliens in alien resurection were horrible and very unoriginal.

  • well if u look at the first ones deleted scenes u could here the warning signal and i think thats what they were going for was to have it sound like that.

  • you dont have a valid opinion until you stop using words like 'teh' and replace them with 'the'.

  • what eye sockets

  • the eye sockets on the skull at the front of the alien head. the smooth surface ontop of its head is kinda see through and underneath u can see its skull.

the did the same for aliens 2 but ended up taking it off as it caused more problems with cracking etc. that is why there was such a dramatic change from the alien in alien 1 and alien 2.

  • It's also considered that this one is still young, different from the ones in Aliens, the full grown adults.

  • true true. but thats in relation to the story XD. when in reality the change came about from technical reasons lol

  • its a worker drone so its diffrent kinda like the warrior has ridges and the battle alien from avp and alien res r short smoothed heads and the dog alien is like... well a dog

  • Underneath the carapace, there is a skull that's visible

  • Its a work of art. Best film monster ever.

  • every alien film introduced a new alien

    Alien introduced the 'Warrior'

    aliens introduced the 'Queen'

    alien 3 introduced the 'Runner'

    alien ressurection introduced the 'Drone'

alien vs predator introduced the 'Predalien'

  • ...and after the first two it became a tired gimmick.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to expunge everything from Resurrection onwards from the canon. As soon as I saw that horrible simpering "Newborn" thing with the saggy tits I knew the series had been irredeemably devalued. Even the third movie has value, and fits seamlessly into the Alien universe.

All these silly Alien subtypes remind me of those awful Rhino Alien, Orang-Utan Alien, etc. toys they used to do in the early 90s.

  • Mind you - the whole point in it being a superior species is that it's DNA can bond with any other DNA and make a hybrid that's loyal to the parent alien-species, and not the Host. That's the reason for all these variants. As for the 'horrid impering newborn', ...that one was designed by humans, not created by the face-grabbers in their 'natural' method.

  • lmfao i remeber those!! :P

  • Frikis de mierda, seguro ke os pajeais con la reina xD

  • Tu no? x'D

  • no actually a runner is a xenomorph hatched from a dog or 4 legged animal they take some of their hosts characteristics and add them to its physiology and theres also a predalien

  • Actually, the Predalien has nothing to do with the Xenomorphs. The Predalien came from its own series of movies called "The Predator" then they made an Aien/Predator crossover movie.

And in my opinion, the Xenomorphs kick the Predaliens asses. The Predalien is just so overatted and its ugly, the Xenos are just the right amount of scary with an original design and are just simply beautiful in their own way.

  • Predalien is imagined in many ways. I hate how predalien is designed in avp-r, but I like some other variations of it's appearance.

And about kick-ass stuff. The idea says that predaliens are stronger and smarter, so they should kick xenomorph's ass. On other hand, the idea tells that predators almost everytime own xenomorphs - I hate that. Xenomorph is called perfect organism in 1979 not for being owned as a weak bugs in second movie already... At least it's my personal oppinion.

  • I agree. In the first movie they are called "the perfect organism" and didn't the drone guy even say they were intelligent and were nearly impossible to kill (but I may be wrong, it's been awhile sence I've seen that movie) and in the second movie they are referred as "weak bugs" and are killed with just one blow with a gun.

I guess the PredAlien hybrid was pretty cool in some ways but Xenomorphs still win over Yautjahs and the PredAlien in my opinion.

  • alien design was really from a picture that had sexually stuff on it check aliens on wikipedia it wierd

  • yeah. giger's work. that's what the video's about.

  • That's just a bunch of crap. Some idiotic rumor some movie critique (who hated the movie) came up with. I do admit that there are some rather sexual themes in the movie like with the facehugger, but I think that was unintentional. I mean, the Xenos are a hostile species so its necassary that they have a pretty hostile way of reproducing.

  • The original design of the face hugger was the edges of the palms a womans hands together with a vagina in the middle. Customs actually confiscated the plans for the face hugger because they thought it was supposed to be some sort of bio weapon and were freaked. The producer eventually had to go and convince them it was for the making for a movie.

  • Giger apparently has sexualy orientated artwork... :X lol

  • Uhh...Yeah...I kinda knew that.

Don't mean to be rude, mate, but what does that have to do with what I was talking about?

  • look at gigers work man. its all sexual... hahahah and yes thats why it has a long head. type in "necronomicon iv" into google. thats one of the pics they got the idea from.. hahaha

  • I never said his work wasn't sexual...Sure you didn't just hit the "reply" button on my comment by mistake, brother?

  • It seems like the alien was based on some real hidden alien entities or beings. H R Giger is a strange fellow but a genuise at that.

  • its hideous perfect for hiding my face hahahaha

  • Yeah it's really too bad that they ditched that idea, because it's a very important part of the ALIEN concept. To basicly copy the DNA traits of its host being in order to be fully adapted to the current environment. While James Cameron's sequel (where the dropped the skull feature) is totally awesome, it's kinda his fault. The did bring back the translucent head dome for Alien 3 though, but underneath it looked more like the Warrior cast drom Cameron's Aliens.

  • The one in Alien is a Drone and the ones which were fighting the marines in Aliens were Warriors.

  • Yeah.

Although I love Camerons movie. I think it's timeless and totally awesome, but I can't help thinking that they made the aliens out more like oversized insects, rather than the true aliens they were intended to be - unlike ANY form of life we have on Earth.

But wtf, I love these creatures, so I go with it. ;P

  • Me too, aliens are awsome..unless one of them kills me :P

  • How can you tell the difference between the two transbreeds? I believe you're right but if the xenomorphs in Aliens were created from humans like the one in Alien, wouldnt they both be the same kind?

  • Different head styles, and drones can turn people into eggs when there is no queen present.

  • There are 5 main types of xenomorphs:

    1. Facehugger (there is also the 'Queen' facehugger)

    2. Chestubrster (young alien)

    3. Drone (adult)

    4. Warrior (adult)

    5. Queen

A few alien games that we have seen like to add classes like the runner, but a runner is really either a drone or a warrior that came out of an animal with 4 legs. (Im guessing the so called 'scout' alien in the upcoming 'Aliens: Colonial Marines' must be a runner.

  • Its the same with a 'pred-alien' as well, either a drone or warrior that came out of a predator. However there is one mysterious class which appeared in the game 'avp2' called a praetorian or guard alien. Some say its a 'young' queen alien and others say its just another alien class. But we havent seen this alien in any one of the movies and it looks like it wont be appearing in the Aliens: Colonial Marines game either, so that class remains unknown

  • The praetorian appeared in the movie AVP:R? There was a praetorian in the game AVP:E that had the potential to become an alien queen of there wasnt one present. It is highly probable that a praetorian/honor guard might exist in a xenomorph hive as it is observed in ant hives. In many ways the xenomorphs act and adhere to many ant traits, minus the facehugger stage in the lifecycle.

  • No the praetorian appeared in the PC game Avp2 and in Avp Extinction, and no where else, not in AVP-R either. Also the so called 'Carrier' and 'Ravager' appear in Extinction but they get mentioned no where else so maybe they were just 2 random aliens added in. But like you said aliens are very much like ants except for the facehugger and chestburster lifecycle stages.

  • Yes, Praetorians guard the Queens Nest, but are not future Queens.

  • Yeah everyone debates that, I personally always thought they werent future queens.

  • ...And you're right, the very word 'Praetorian' MEANS 'Guard'. Anyone can look this word up and settle the debate within seconds easily. The term originated with the Romans.

  • Praetorians are highly evolved drones/young queens. They guard the hive and queen simply because they are too huge for attacking.

  • yes they are the same kind, but think of it this way, ther alien in the first film was a youngster, and was only alive for like a day b4 it was thrown out the air lock by ripley at the end of the 1st movie, however the aliens in the 2nd movie were around ALOT longer than the alien in the 1st one, thats how James Cameron made them look slightly different in terms of the dome on the head and stuff......

  • But in Alien Ressurection their heads were similar to the original alien head. I have nevet thout about tha age of xenomorph in 4th movie - maybe you know something about how old was aliens in 4th movie?

  • lol in the 4th movie they walked like dinosaurs an they sounded like dinosaurs, i hated them in the 4th film

  • So what? I asked you not you like them or not. I asked you maybe you know how old are they. If you don't know the answer to my question just say I don't know.

  • sorry i misunderstood, yeah i think the aliens in 4 wer round about the same age as the alien in the first movie, around 24 hours old mabye, and i know that they tried to make the head the same but to me they didnt do a good job of making the aliens in that film altogether

  • Yo estuve alli! Impresiona

  • where can i see this?

  • This was an exposition that was in the Politecnic University of Valencia the past year.

  • that is what the original alien looked like in all the following movies they changed and modified it slightly, but thats what they first looked like, i read on wiki that they made it transparent and at the front there are 2 empty "eye sockets" underneath the smooth bit. they ditched that idea after the first on, look it up yourself its and interesting read.

  • gigers alien was the best, it was so creepy, especially with the two black eye sockets.....

  • id do anythin to go and see these artifacts lol, mabye ther not artifacts but close....

  • It was 2 suits, one stunt suit worn by Eddie Powell and the full seven foot two inch suit worn by Bolaji Badejo. That head in the video is the the animatronic cable operated head used in close ups (Bretts death etc)

    Neat video. Cheers.
