  • very nice catch Mitch!

  • dumping cycle too slow

  • So here's that one video with the story behind it!! Loving the looks of that soon-to-come-in-the-way-of-FLs list, good luck on all those!! Gotta say I love the idle sound to this Volvo! LOL and there goes the Theiss one at 4:12! Two kinda random questions: 1) Is there any talk about making there be CNG or LNG trucks down there? (or have you ever seen any??)

    2) What are the dumpster delivery trucks like, and do you have any pics of them? Thanks for the post, 5 *****'s!

  • Yep, this is part of the heart of that story from a bit ago :) Thanks with the good luck, haven't seen some of the trucks up close, at all or for ages... particularly keen on the MNL, New Transpacific and the Euro h/p.

    Very random questions indeed lol:

    1) I haven't seen any Aussie C/LNG trucks in person or through pictures that I can recall, I believe there has been talk about introducing the power source / trialling it....

  • ... BioDiesel is the only sustainable fuel source I can think of in use here in Oz.

    2) The dumpster delivery trucks I've seen during my life tend to be standard flatbeds with a crane mounted behind the cab. They seem to be capable of holding 4-8 dumpsters (depending on the size). I'll try and get a video of one making a delivery, or driving by at the least.

  • PERSONAL CORRECTION:

It just happens to be that I found an advertisement for Iveco which believe it or not, advertises their new gas-powered Acco! lol How's that for a coincidence :) Well there's a new answer for you, "yes we do have CNG powered trucks" =]

  • Yeah, we have a few of those (in the US at least), with the flatbed + 'crane' (mast with forks), WM seems to have some of those. For Esco. and EDCO in general, we have these neat Hino (mostly) trucks with trailers--see the EDCO Yard Visit video I posted!--that hold a lot of dumpsters, as well as the single dumpster type with forks on the back and a tiny chassis.

  • Yeah, I think there are a few biodiesel and other weirdly fueled trucks around the country, seems like they're sorta experimenting with different things. So is this Acco Compressed Natural Gas or just gas powered??

  • Well according to the text on the add, it is a compressed natural gas engine. Be cool to see one and hear the sound... wonder what the difference would be to the one now? Mmmm...

  • Yeah that'd be really neat! I'm excited to hear what it'd sound like, prolly won't be long before they're more common...

  • in new zealand they were called collex then changed to onyx then taken over by waste management lol

  • Yer we had a bit of a mix over here too; they were also known as Collex and Onyx for a while, but then they changed the name over to Veolia a while ago.

  • must be a tax thing

  • is this in warringah

  • No it's in Nelson Bay... says in the description.

  • i saw a very old version of this today

  • Awesome! mmm something tell's me ive seen this video before eyy ;) and btw what was that sound at the start? XD hahah

  • lol Sneak preview :) :) Oh that was me just making some lonely noises to myself =]

  • LOL you thought we wouldn't notice that, just thought you'd leave that part in there, huh Mitch? he he ;)

lol I actually didn't catch that until he mentioned it :D

  • Nice job!

  • nice

  • at 4:15 was that his twin that drove by mate

  • You betya :) You've got eagle eyes mate, wonder how many people spotted it hehe

  • cool, did ya film the girls on the beach? When is that video coming out??

  • Cool! I never know that Veolia have front loader, I thought they as only rear loader and side loader.
