I use Maxxis High Roller, they are good all around tires. I don't change tires for trail conditions, but change air tire pressure instead. I use less air for loose-over-hardpack conditions. You should adjust for riding style and weight, everyone will be different. I like to ride at 30psi, sometimes a little less, I weigh at 165-170lbs. You don't want to go too low or you will get a lot of flats. I usually let out air before the descent, so that way your climb won't suck.
that berm at 2:38 i think i went down too it was so bad and still is what the heck is up with that it was my first berm thing like that bent rim etc.. doctors the works
when did u do that i took a berm over around there too millers landing or someing ive been messed up for 3 weeks and still needing healing missed work left my gear the truck and my gloves at home how long since u went down??
Thanks for posting this vid. So many memories. This exact trail was pretty much my daily workout when I was living in La Verne, '93-'95. Looks like there are a few more jumps up in the switchbacks than there were back in the day, which is nice. I also used to do Webb a lot (hang left first crossroad on the fireroad after entering at the top of Mountain Ave). Potato Mountain, a blast. Then, there is a trail that cuts down onto Mill Ave, can't remember the name, but smooth and very high speed.
what trail did you guys take? It looks awsome! Couple of my buddies went there this sunday but did not hit the same trail. Please let me know so I can come back to conquer.
Sorry, not familar with Webb canyon. I looked at the maps to try to figure that out. We don't go down towards Webb Canyon Rd, but we loop back to Marshall Canyon Tr. and down to the Park on Wheeler Ave. There are so many paths that I have not tried them all. Also, I don't know all the names of each trail there.
This looks like a road my gf would enjoy. The girly stuff
