just make sure you lay on the silver fume super heavy and then clear over it and dont burn it off too much. I will get a picture of a few heavy blue fume swirl marbles I made and link em for ya :)
for blue, I use a semi large heavy prop and low oxy flame, also make sure you got alot of silver on the end of your rod, I just make the silver tip rod very hot and lay it on heavy.
LOL That's the $64,000 question!!!!! So far, what I've been able to figure out is that you need to be very careful not to "burn" the fume. Low O2, small flame, light fume, let it cool, trap with clear without letting the flame burn the fume.... I hope that helps.
The silver is vaporized in the flame and adhere's to the hot glass. Watch the webcam. I'm still experimenting with the color effects, but gold should (I think) give you a more red tint while silver is a blue- milky white.

how does fuming actually work and wat kind of color effect would u get if u didnt heat a gold fuming all the way in?
