Vivid is another word for Bright, Colourful, dynamic etc. Basically the Vivid setting ads more colour punch to a picture.

My DVD arrived this morning and I must thankyou for a well put together video on the how to use the D40X. It was money well spent and what I have learned in one viewing of the DVD will save me time reading the manual and maybe finding it compilcated. Maybe you will make more in the furture?
