  • can this radio be binded to a different airplane

  • The Sky Runner RC system is a very simple one and I don't believe that it is possible to bind the transmitter to another plane. Thanks for your question.

  • how's the range?

  • Our local park is pretty small and hence the model hasn't been flown too far away. However, the model itself is pretty small and you wouldn't want to fly it too far away in any case. I've measured the field on Google Earth and found that I flew the model within 250 feet (75m) at all times. Within this range the model was fine. Thanks for your question.

  • ja, ja, das ist gut!

  • Does the mode thing mean channels?

  • @CONNOR9623 The model has 3 channels - rudder elevator and throttle. The mode number describes how those channels are laid out on the transmitter. Mode 1 = rudder and throttle on the right stick and elevator on the left. Mode 2 = rudder and elevator on the right stick and throttle on the left.

  • Hi nysicat

The reason the rudder servo movement has less throw than the elevator servo is because you have it set to the 'primary position'. A 'half moon' on the LCD screen indicates 'small rudder' and a 'full moon' indicates 'big rudder'. To change it you push the rudder stick in towards the TX until you hear a click. The instruction book it pretty bad and it took us a while to figure this out. A lot got lost in translation I think.

    Regards Andrew

  • Hi Andrew,

Many thanks for taking the trouble to point this out. My father has the model at the moment and it'll be a while before I see him but I'll check it out as soon as I do.

    Regards Rob

  • Thumbs up if you love your reviews by a split personality!

  • what do the different modes do? plz reply asap

  • @aWannaBePilot

Generally, there are 2 ways in which the controls of an RC transmitter can be arranged. These are as follows:

Mode 1 - Primary lateral control and throttle on right stick. Pitch control on left stick.

Mode 2 - Primary lateral control and pitch control on right stick. Throttle on left stick.

The choice is down to personal preference.

  • @nysicat Yet to join a rc club. Other YT video says that North America prefers Mode 2, but in Australia, we prefer Mode 1.

Interested what is preferred in other countries,

Retired CIO (1984), Australian Capital Territory

  • Hi, in all the UK power model flying clubs that I've known the preference is mode 2.

    Cheers

  • thanks mate was having problems with that green light battery problem hopefully it gets charged now so i can get back out and fly her

  • This plane was my first -Problem was me-landed in water-blew the pcb board-$23 later up and flying-yes it does pitch down on take off, however all my push planes do the same-What I enjoyed was as soon as up I cut the throttle by say 20% and did really gentle remote rudder movements as only a 3 channel plane, she was easy to control

    Damage I have done-broke in half-super glue-up flying in 5 mins-smash tail-super glue-3 mins flying-one battery now expired lasted me 3 months-

    Great video guys!!

  • @Symaheli107 Arrived - so maiden flight ahead. My battery slides, adjusting CG. Factory has put a 12 mm nut in a cavity next to battery. Not sure why - yet.

  • @grey0powerlessnesss no idea what the 12mm nut is form I never got one-the cgi is pretty good if you just push battery right up the nose will be stiff when new but foam expands-then go and have fun,Make sure you pick a really calm day with hardly any wind as the Skyrunner is very light and if your first flight you want the best conditions

  • Nice review, thanks.

  • Great info.

    Thank you.

    Petter.
