  • Is there a way to turn this into a texture map?

  • that was grea, I learned a lot man

  • I have made a video response showing what you can do with Ocean Shader. Your tutorials on water effects and many other techniques are being used on this work in progress, so I posted it as a kind of thankyou and an inspiration to others. If anyone has ocean shader setting tips or hints on underwater lights let me know. Please enjoy yacht "Zarabeth"

  • great tutorial :D .. how would you make the water react against the object, instead of it floating, with it actually hitting and bouncing off the object, i.e. a building ?

  • @m1k3ystar It's not the easiest thing to do in Maya, it may be better left to an app called Realflow or (other). Give it a google and check it out. Sorry I can't be more specific at the moment.

  • How do you make the water loop over and over again?

  • @canadacurtis The water is actually not looping, it's just playing out the timeline and if you create a .mov or .avi and set it to loop, the water looks as though it is looping because the motion of the water is random and sort of all blends together if the video is set to loop. Hope that helps! STU

  • @deepfriedectoplasm Thanks, yeah sorry I meant, is it possible to make the water loop over and over again or does that have to be done in After Effects with transitions?

  • @canadacurtis Yes, you guessed it, After Effects is the best way to go. Water generally loops quite well especially if you use a cross dissolve as a transition. Thanks for watching! STU
