  • I went back into childhood and I just went online and rebought all the transmetals figures, I now have 3x transmetal cheetor (my fav), transmetal rattrap (really like him too), transmetal 1 and 2 (dragon mode) megatron (really liked these) transmetal 1 and 2(optimal) optimus), transmetal rhinox, and waspinator (Japanese versions, never seen before), and turantulas transmetal. I'm drowning in nostalgia right now, so effing happy :P. These toys and concepts were way ahead of their time.

  • Oh and how could I forget my second favorite actions figure, Transmetal Tarantulas. AND I also had Optimus Optimal. Big ass tank with laser lights AND the dragon version of Megatron from the last few episodes.

  • they actually censored it out when Fox aired it back in the late 90's early 2000's. But when UPN aired it a year earlier, they kept the choking scene with Rhinox's "bad mood" line in.

  • The reason they didn't go transmetal is because they are all from stasis pods and already partially transmetal. That's why airazor, tigatron, and black arachnia never get energon buildup and inferno's protected against certain weapons like tarantulus's energon bullets.

  • reasonable explanation...but you forgot about waspinator protected by the restoration tank...and terrorsaur and scopinox were going to change...but the force was too powerful...that they couldnt do jack..even if they could fly...to busy by the quantum surge..but you get credit for better explanation

  • Yes, he originally was (when he was first introduced btw). But, the Tarantulas scrambled his programing to think he's a predacon (at Inferno's first appearance (dunno the name of the eppisode though)).

  • almost all of the new characters save for Rampage were Maximal protoforms before being recruited by either side, so yes he was a good guy in that sense.
