  • i don't like them sorry..and i didn't laugh!! OO

  • McCoy's facial expressions are priceless. LAMO

  • This whole situation is so... awkward and embarassing even to watch. I can't imagine to live through it without killing all the witnesses :). (Hell, to be honest, I cannot even imagine to be the actor and do this).

  • I saw this episode for the first time about a week ago. its funny at first, but the more it goes on the worse i felt for them. that would be so humiliating :( especially for poor spock

  • not funny. When I was watching it, I was sooooo angry and wished those antic humanoids who were controlling Kirk and Spock to be stabbed from hell's heart (in stomach for sloooow painful death).

  • @123BigRob123 These scenes aren't funny at all :-P

  • @perez14soccer18 better than this crap

  • I think Bones and I had the same reaction in that second scene.

  • OMG

  • I love the noise Horse-Kirk makes.

  • honestly, I saw this part

and tell you it is one of the better parts, because the action part goes to the doctor to treat and banality of which turn out to be the person with the ability to control people psychokinesis is pretty psycho even this was nothing they could do the helpless, quite scary Captain totally humiliated, spoke imposes emotions (which fatally injures Vulcans) dwarf what those skills as a clown has no control and hop is also interesting to get off

    from the years 1966-1969

  • Hilarious the last one ,Midgets eh !

  • compare this to star trek tng and mr stewarts performance as captain picard ..

  • prime example of why star wars > star trek

  • @jackhandy213 Right because Jar Jar Binks is such great cinema!

  • I'd love to have been at the script read through for this one, I can only imagine the comments it got from the cast.

Shatner is obviously aware he is the hammiest of hams as an actor. If you don't believe me trying watching the animated feature Over The Hedge in which he has a voiceover part. He is constantly sending himself up. It is an incredibly funny movie and Shatner steals the show IMO.

  • Bones' expression is pricless.

  • GO KIRK!!! RIDE'M COWBOY xD ......oh wait....NEVERMIND!

  • What ep is this

  • This was the 3rd season, and at this point, Leonard Nimoy hated the scripts and was not fond at all of the Star Trek's producer, Fred Freiberger, who took over for Gene Roddenberry who left after Star Trek was moved to Friday nights at 10 pm. Nimoy even wrote to Doug Cramer, the head of Paramount TV asking for help with the disregard his character was being treated.

  • @collegeman1988 That's interesting. I always enjoy hearing about the behind the scenes stuff. Thanks for posting your comment!

  • O.O

  • ahahah grazy xD

  • Probably the stupidest Star Trek episode ever.

  • I wonder how on earth (no pun intended) William Shanter wasn't cracking up when Nimoy was tap dancing around him.

  • Pity Spock didn't do the "Hambone"

  • 3:02 de forrest kelly is dying to laugh! lol

  • did you see that midget? haha

  • I love how Bones just stands there like, "Oh, cool! Free show!"

  • You would never see this kind of randomness in any other trek series. TOS Rocks. :)

  • These aliens obviously have a really weird taste for entertainment. =P

  • DAMMIT MAN IM A DOCTOR NOT A MIND BENDER!

  • MIDGET RIDES HORSE KIRK

    LOL

  • a classic moment in american television history

  • LOL That was hilarious...Aliens love Fu@kin' with Kirk. They threw spock in as a bonus.

  • -How can you let this go on?

-Are you nuts? This is hilarious! Too bad my tricorder can't record videos.

  • Eu não acho nenhuma destascenas engraçadas...

  • He's a DOCTOR, not a PARTICIPANT!

  • If Spock dind't missed Kirks head XDDDD

  • Good vid, one point:That's a flamenco not tap.

  • Flamanco

  • Star Trek was an awesome show. This episode is a blatent example of the spirit that made it so good.

  • 01:57 damn! in italian version the don't sing, they only dance....

  • Reminds me of tim and eric awesome show..

  • Weird, but not actually funny ...

  • with episodes like this, i'm beginning to see why the show was cancelled lol

  • How is it funny?

It was actually very tragic due to the fact that they were forced to do that, they were turned into puppets for others sick amusement.

But I'm sorry, maybe i just don't have a sense of humor.

  • @EternalSearcher This is funny in the sense of the absurd. Star Trek was hailed as the ground breaking show it was for sci fi and for television but by the third season they get to this point with Kirk acting even worse than normal as a horse. Admittedly though, I think scenes from "Spock's Brain" could have been added too. That was also absurdly funny. But no, it's not really like ha ha funny.

  • @jlennon510 it's hard to me to hear critics on TOS cause it means that if you are right, i either have a bad taste or a powerful imagination which compensates flaws of actors. To me, the series was about power of a human spirit, of a superiority of a will that beats fear and disbelief. Those episodes in which crew resists god-like creatures are like anthem of Freedom Of Choice to me. This is actually one of them.

  • @EternalSearcher No it is, definitely. Like I said, the show was ground breaking in so many ways. But, come on, you have to give a little giggle to see William Shatner acting like a horse. The concept of the episode is really interesting. Especially the "Uhura/Kirk kiss" which was totally shocking because the portrayal of an African American woman kissing a white man. And you can still love the show and critique it too. It had ups and downs for sure.

  • @jlennon510 Thats right, I actually like a lot of films/tv etc that may have an interesting concept but be flawed in execution, so its a dual experience of genuine enjoyment and amusement at the tacky sets etc. Plus, noting your name, I love The Beatles, which makes me enjoy things like The Rutles even more!

  • God, I hate the original series so much.

  • Not tap dance. I think it is Flamenco.

  • i wonder how many times scene 3 went wrongXD

  • I liked the concept of the episode, but seriously? Sometimes I wonder if the writers were on something. Still love TOS though!!

  • Truly the worst episode of Trek ever - in any of the series.

  • @johnjms2 Agree, the absolute worst I have ever seen. It was like they were actually trying to make this terrible.

  • This was Paul Simon's first television performance as the percussionist off to the side.

  • @CopelandMeister

    You made my day!

  • he could have at least said 'nay!!"

  • it's difficult to masturbate to the third scene.

  • i have to see the bloopers to this lol

  • one of my favorites is episode 1 "frustrated into a need to display physical prowess the creature will throw himself into the transparentcy" *waits a moment* then an audible BOING!

  • O___e xD

  • This is made even better by the WTF look on Bones' face through the whole thing.

  • 2:00 Spock has the most genuine toothy grin at the end of his dance with Kirk.

  • what episode?

  • Funniest moments?

    No.... They're the saddest moments!!

    :D

  • It's scenes like these that make me love the series even more

  • How dare anyone say Star Trek is better than Star Wars.

  • @JEH78 Well if you think about it, their hard to compare. Star Trek is a tv series so it's better in that way. But Star Wars has better movies than the Star Trek ones

  • Holy shit.

  • They Deserve an emmy for this performance!

  • @ytmndman Please read the description of the video before posting comments, you would have seen that I said that already.

  • These are all from the same episode

  • Hey, get real. They had command of Spock's mind. It was very stressful for him.

  • Yes, Kirk is a horse. lol. um yes.

  • If I was born around the time when Star trek was made, I would've pissed my pants.

  • What was the name of this episode? :-D

  • plutos stepchildren

  • i cannot stop laughing. this is why star trek was/is AMAZING

  • ROTFL

  • LMAO "how can you let this go on" that was the funniest shit i ever saw XD

  • @spacecoke Bones was liek, "Just let me enjoy this for a few more minutes". lmao.

  • @Anthrolithos Dammit, left the camera back on the Enterprise!

  • Bones is like .. waddafuk...... lol

  • I don't think I could ever watch this episode again - once was enough.

  • LMAO!!!!

  • "Plato's Stepchildren" was one seriously f***ed up episode. I read that a lot of people working on the episode had no idea what was going on.

  • It was sadistic what they were doing to the 'characters'... yes, it may have been funny to see them do it, but the truly funny parts were in 'Mudd's Women'

  • @workstrength Did you mean "I, Mudd"? I don't recall any *deliberate* farce in "Mudd's Women."

"Plato's Stepchildren" was an authentically strange episode.

  • WTF?

  • I wouldve loved to see the outtakes/gag reel of this episode hahaha

    wouldve bin hilarious

  • @BucketDwarf At 2:06 you can see Spock grinning... ;-)

  • McCoy's reaction says it all.

  • God, these aren't funny, I just feel sorry for Kirk and Spock having to act like total retards!

  • I don't know how all the actors got through the "Kirk the horse" scene without bursting out laughing!

  • they didnt.

  • we all know who's got our backs now, if a scenario like this ever occurs.....(yes you Bones!)

  • Hey, Bones, planning on being USEFUL any time soon?

  • lol

    I saw that episode

  • LOL! Check out 1:30

I love the way the props fly away, obviously on strings, and it looks more like the midget is reacting to the shitty "special effects" than the wondrous things happening.

  • Ha ha. tweedle dee and tweedle dumb. Lol Which episode is this?

  • thanks for the videos

  • What episode is this?

  • @Sprikxlover1701 Plato's Stepchildren

  • Thanks! :D

  • Spock's tapdance - is Kirk wearing a cushion under his shirt?

  • @WOLFIEweasel gee really I never noticed that

  • Kirk the Horse sounds like the castle ghost from the original Scooby Doo series lol

  • 2:15 political correctness can really ruin a funny moment

  • watching spock dance kindof broke some part of my soul. fucking hilarious.

  • Is it pasadoble or a tarantella?

  • it looks like spock is going to step on kirk at 1:01

  • 8DDDDDD

    xDDDDDD

Is all I can say.. xD

  • how embarrassing!! :O

  • i love how bones is just standing there watching them

  • Yes Bones how could you have let that go on?

  • so funny

  • LOL I don't even like star trek and this was funny.
