How does O'Reilly replaying some of his interview of Carlin count as "insulting him on the day of his death?" He's just filling his audience in on how they've interacted before.
That chastizing wasn't the only part of the interview, and yet he chose the part of the interview where he was correcting Carlin. I would say that, YES, that's insulting.
