just a question- why do people caliper their MR when they don't have a clear jet? The shape of this jet and the attempt to keep chasing it tells me it's not fully acquired. I know you may want to figure out the LA/LV gradient for some reason(?ERO? which you would trace for anyway), and in this case there may be a good reason because of the right heart-LA eventual connection,
but will someone please tell me why my students (who i take as a clinical instructor) are being taught to do this? Believe me, they don't know, either. Okay, obviously if there's a really low gradient then that would be significant.
