  • Is Cloe still around? Her bio isn't online :/

  • @bigcat3l8 No, unfortunately she passed away despite our best efforts to cure her problem :( I will send you the link to her page...

  • This is great, but there are humans in Africa that need medical treatment and aren't receiving it.

  • that cat looks stressed as hell

  • @LittleZappey No Cloe had an excellent life at the sanctuary, she wasn't a big fan of me so in the video she may look annoyed.

  • @BigCatRescue Well cats can get stressed even if they have a good life, what better time to look stressed than having a Kidney stone. Just because cats aren't very smart doesn't mean their telipathic Cloey knows whats going on.

  • Are you in an animal exchange/breeding program with other zoos/animal rescue centers?

  • @mmikkone No, once we rescue our cats they have a permanent home at the sanctuary :)

  • @BigCatRescue Still, a snow leopard is very rare so wouldn't it be justifiable to try to breed the rarest animals even though they might suffer a bit when moved around? At least here in Europe the zoos keep pedigrees and try find the most suitable mates for their animals from other European zoos. There's no money exchanged. If a zoo is generous with the animals, it will be remembered and they will also get animals in return. There's eg. snow leopards in Helsinki, Finland and they bred last year.

  • @mmikkone Our snow leopards were from a blood line that was too common in the species survival plan (breeding)

  • Was her passing related to her kidneys?

  • @AzDoll714 She had a very bad UTI (Urinary tract infection) and the stones were beginning to form once again...

  • How did you know that she had kidney stones? was she presenting any signs?

    What happened to her?

  • @tubesocks84 Yes, the first sign from the cats that they aren't feeling 100% is the loss of appetite, if this is observed we can observe them more often and discuss and take action. Cloe initially recovered, then the stones began to form again and she had a really bad bladder infection and passed away :(

  • @BigCatRescue thats so sad...so sorry to hear that, but bless you BCR for doing all you did to help the poor sweetie

  • Oh this made me cry! Poor baby! I'm glad she was treated- I'm moved that so many came to help her. So sorry and sending condolences to those who cared for her it has to be heartbreaking. If I'd be in that position, I feel it would be like losing a child! So sorry.

  • @xshadowpandax1991 She just wasn't fond of me, so I got that look much of the time when I was filming her. Sadly Cloe as passed since this video was made :(

  • @BigCatRescue What happened to her? Complications from the procedure?

  • I cant watch surgical operations, skip skip skip... end of video. Sigh... I will have to find another video on snow leopords

  • Poor kitty :(

  • At 0:21 LMAO

    Talk about a lounging kitty.

  • This is an amazing video!! I love BCR and have been there and had The pleasure of seeing Chloe in all her magnificence!! Her rosettes, powerful fluff tail just my favorite Big Cat!( I even have a nice one tattooed on my foot! )Cutting edge miracle surgery and her climate controlled cave are but a few miracles to give our previous cats. My dream is to touch, smell and pet a Tiger! Thank you for this video! Excellent!

  • Cloe doesnt approve of the video camera, lol

Beautiful snow leapord, I didnt know they could live in this weather.

  • wow great country.... saving animals and killing humans

  • ow >.> well im glad she made it :D

  • Its strange that you didn't mentioned changing diets, before bringing in all that fancy equipment and operating.

  • @Juefawn Diet change will not get rid of kidney stones :)

  • Lots of your cats have this. Must be something in the water of food. Should do a correlative analysis.

  • @Juefawn This is the first cat that as had kidney stones at BCR to my knowledge??

  • @BigCatRescue Hi, I seem to notice the same hesitate stride in other cats on another video, and the slowed expressed on face, indicating pain. Not sure which one.

  • What a beautiful girl. I'm glad she recovered.

  • What good news!

But the patient seemed, hm, well, less impressed... that's what cat do :)

  • All of you who work at Big Cat Rescue are angels.

  • Aha yay cloe's better I love cloe

  • Yay Chloe's better again! Really cool method to help her out. Bless her and the team that dedicated their time to these beautiful animals :)

  • Is this in Tampa, Florida?

  • @messymelon39 Yep! :)

  • where did you get a snow leopard i the first place?

  • @TheSolaceDream Cloe was a former "pet"

  • Thank you for helping big cats, such as Cloe :)

  • chloe has this look on her face through out the video like, - don't you have anything better to do than watch me do me? lol. GREAT job though love how you guys take care of these animals when no one else would step up to. I bet if they could talk, they would rally together and sing for you guys.

  • Thank you for the friend request.I love your videos and i really love All the big cats.My fav are th tigers.

  • Awwwh! the poor lil mite, God bless caretakers for all you do!

  • i really love this because i care about big cats and so as the other animals thank you for saving the big cats LD

  • I wonder, how much did that operation cost like? I saw like a whole team of doctors there lol, that must be expensive. I hope the doctors do it for free/on volountary basis, because I assume BCR doesn't have that much donations moneywise or have they?

  • Amazing what can be done these days, and how people care enough to do it to animals.

  • Good Job Big Cat Rescue!!!!!

  • Chole is so beautiful

  • I weigh more than that cat. :o

Shes super cute! What a sweet looking cat, its so awesome what you guys do for these amimals. c:

  • great video and great work!

  • Well done for saving her, I know people that have had this treatment, excellent.

  • What a magnificent animal! Thank you so much, BCR and everyone involved in the operation, for saving her. :)

  • All of you BCR are awesome people and heroes! Thank you for what you are doing for these animals..God bless you all..

  • This is a new favorite youtube video fro me!! Chloe makes my day when I watch her!

  • I feel for Cloe. I have a kidney stone condition, and the pain is the worst you can ever feel. I'm glad you could help her.

  • Lucky girl. I am curious about the incidence of renal stones in wild Snow Leopards.

  • 2:30 made me lol.

  • too bad it wasn't colder in Florida so Cloe can be in her real habitat or you can always have a snow stimulator :P !!!

  • Thank you so much for posting these videos. I love learning about the Big Cats personally, while learing what's good for them and even what's not so good about them. But I've noticed that a lot of your video's all are about "great recoveries". I may be the only one, but I would also like to know about Cats that unfortunatly pass away, and how you guys all deal with situations like that.

  • @lyneajessica It's obviously hard when cats pass away we have cared for for years, some of them you know their time is coming so you spend as much time with them as possible, others are unexpected. Everybody deals with it differently, we try and keep the drama level to a minimum at the sanctuary, this makes it much easier for us and the rest of the cats.

  • how long was the entire procedure on chloe?

    note to everyone:

i hope educational videos like this one makes more people realize just how many people and resources it takes to do what organizations like bcr do to accomplish all they achieve. please support this and other organizations like them with whatever you can, whether by money, needed equipment/supplies, or your talents. ==^.^==

  • @inbetweentics Hi, the whole procedure including the sedation took a few hours :)

  • The human race has a chance afterall!

  • She is so pretty. CONTINUE TO GET BETTER CLOE!! :D ♥

  • She has big eyes. Aw so beautiful.

  • Amazing! :-)

  • What a beautiful cat. And I'm so glad that Cloe is doing fine. Thanks to everyone at BCR and everyone else involved with the surgery that made her better. Great job.

  • this is so cool. I'm glad cloe feeling better.

  • poor thing. she's so beautiful

  • Amazing(:

Snow Leopards having Kidney Stones.... odd but crazy

Great work guys! Im so happy to hear shes gotten better :D

  • How did you get Chloe in the first place? I love hearing their back stories.

  • @ncvirgo91 Hi, a guy actually brought Cloe as a birthday present for his wife and they soon realized snow leopards make terrible "pets" !!

  • @BigCatRescue Considering how much she stalks the camera I can only imagine how wild she must have been as a pretend housepet. Sheesh people are stupid!

  • @BigCatRescue You mentioned he "bought" it?! There's no legal way to buy such cats, am I right?

  • @BigCatRescue That was amazing to see such a collaborative effort from so many specialists. I certainly hope that all the financing of transporting equip (of which there was tons! ) was paid for by the airlines.....

    Awesome.. >love your vids..

  • It's amazing to see how dedicated some people are to take care of ONE animal. Makes me feel good that someone actually gives back what we've taken. We take their land and build concrete structures, we take their climate and turn the heat up, we take their skin and make costumes for celebrities. Time to start giving things back? I think so!

  • gud work guys....in india cats r in very bad condition...they do nothing to save tham...:(

  • what a beautiful cat =D

  • aww my name is Chloe(:

  • is there a reason you guys tape the audio from one side only?

I use a headset, and I always hear the shoutcasting from one speakers, its really annoying

  • @darkula666 No we must have to change something in the future if that's the case? sorry! :)

  • @BigCatRescue please do!

  • @darkula666 agreed

  • @darkula666 Happens to me the same. May have something to do with the recording.

PD: It's great to see that Cloe is better now :P

  • Cloe is beautiful!

I am really glad to hear that she is getting better :]

Keep up the great work, guys~

  • awww i'm glad shes recovered well shes a beautiful cat

  • Thank you to everyone who helped Chloe!

She is a gorgeous creature indeed

  • Amazing creature

  • bless these people who helps them. seeing the tiger sick made me really sad. animals can't talk their pain, that's why it's always sad to me when they aren't feeling well.

thanks to all of the people who helped Cloe.

  • i have a degree in journalism and have worked with soil and water conservation districts across the usa. i love all the cats, but i must let you know what ALL cats have always been my true love. Please hire me!!! i know what it's like to deal with 800 people or 80 people and i know how to stay calm just to get the job done. have a great day. i enjoyed your film clip. sincereley, barbara deMatteis

  • What if you lived in Eastern Europe? Could you text "tiger" then?

  • @alaswoeisme No, it only works in the USA, but if you'd like to donate you can visit BigCatRescue*org to find out alternative methods, thanks! :)

  • Holy crap that looks expensive. My iguana's vet works at the animal medical center. Glad these animals can help enhance our knowledge of them.

  • I love her tail

    and eyes

    She's so beautiful<3

I love you guys for all the work you do. Its amazing. I wish I could donate! Too young though ]:

  • Cloe Is Beautiful....Thank you for Helping......

  • Pretty kitty :D

  • Awww, poor kitty. Can I come over and give her a hug so she feels better?

  • Awesome Best Job ever

  • I never knew that snow leopards had spotted skin like a tiger has striped skin.

  • Love it. :)

  • Yay Cloe :)

  • she is absolutly beautiful......i never knew the could have kidney stones, wow, i know how painful they are to a human, i cant imagine what this poor kitty went through...amazing what they did for her,...thats great...

  • Wow, I didn't know Snow Leopards were so small.

And I'm loving that super long fluffly tail :)

  • well done, just hate that she is there atall, please no more zoos, unless for help for proper outreach.

  • @maidmoira if she wasn't in captivity she would be dead... there are only 40 amur (snow) leopards left in the wild... If it wasn't for zoos they would be extinct... Please stop being a fucking retard. If it wasn't for zoos a ton of species would go extinct. Yes it is unfortunate that they are endangered at all but stop hating on zoos...

  • @maidmoira Big Cat Rescue is not a zoo

  • I'm so glad Cloe is doing better! :)

  • Are there really such things as snow leopard? Isn't it like the white tigers or Jaguar since we're talking about leopards?

  • @Ido013 Yupp, snow leopards are endangered, you can look them up on the internet :)

  • look at that beautiful tail! cat's are the best!

  • A snow leopard? Wow!

  • 0:35-0:37 i love when felines do that lol

    i'm so glad she's recovered! she's a beauty precious big cat :D

    thank you for everyone's help

  • Wow! I didn't even know you could use that treatment on animals! Thats great she is doing well! I hope her sucess continues! :-D

Question @BigCatRescue: What college classes would you reccomend for someone intrested in working with animals- especially big cats?

  • Excellent

  • Such a beautiful animal. Glad to hear she's recovering nicely :)

  • Aww. How beautiful.

  • Wonder if these cats realize how spoiled and lucky they are.

  • @samiuseliina I wouldn't call endangered without the freedom to roam your normal 30 miles and mate and have a family spoiled and lucky. But, I would say, that the purpose is a huge gain in getting cats recognized in order to try and preserve them in the future, to release them back into the wild where its safe for them from poaching, before its too late.

  • My favorite big cat! :D I couldn't stop staring at her tail and her eyes :D

  • poor diet cause the stones, as in housecats?

  • A Big Thank-You to everyone involved!!

    Cloe certainly appreciated it!

  • Yay! Thank you nice people for saving Cloe. I`ve had a shitty day, and needed to smile. Seeing people help and donate to save a animal (specially big cats since I love them so much) saves my day anytime. ^^

  • Cloe is absolutely beautiful, and I'm glad to hear she's made a full recovery. We are all grateful for the time and equipment donated by these amazing people who just want to help given the chance.

  • it is really inspiring to hear Joey have recovered

  • That would be my future job. Or so I hope...

  • Snow Leopards are my favourite of the big cats. I'm glad to see that Cloe is back to her old self, and that she had such great care.

  • At 0:45 she looked just like a Na'vi. Wild cats are awesome.

  • Big Cat Rescue <3

  • YAY !! Cloe is a happy camper again!! ;-) ♥

  • 70 pounds? Is that normal? My dog is 80 pounds.

  • @RockingTheFro THey usually weigh between 60 to 120 pounds.

  • @RockingTheFro She's lighter so she can be quieter in the wild. Dog aren't really meant for sneaking, they're more of a defense animal.

  • @RockingTheFro Yep, it's normal especially for females, I was kinda shocked when she weighed only 70lbs, lots of fur!!

  • @BigCatRescue She must be fluffier than my cat.

  • WOW, that was really fascinating to watch. I'm so glad Cloe is feeling better, she's an absolutely beautiful snow leopard! God Bless BCR.

  • Aww she adorable.

Im so glad she now ok.

  • Awww, she's so adorable! :D It's so nice that thoose people did that!

  • when i get a job, i'll make sure i'll donate monthly

  • Ha ha...I got the distinct impression that Cloe was surrounded by "people doctor" animal-lovers. :-)

This was fascinating. And I'm looking forward to hearing that Cloe gets an "all clear" on her upcoming re-check. Thank you for all you do, BCR.

  • Wow Great Job There^^ Keep It up!

  • The kindness of everyone involved to help this one animal is remarkable.

There is hope for us yet.
