I dunno if the Master's ring is connected to Donna's mood ring in any way. But it does seem that a lot of focus is placed on Donna's ring throught the show. I had noticed this on the show but dismissed it as just my over active imagination, but now I see someone else has noticed it too, hmmmmm.

I don't know what video everyone's watching, but I see two distinctly different rings. Donna's is more of a mood ring and The Master's is an actual Timelord ring. Keeping in mind the trailer shown after the Waters of Mars special, I'm pretty sure something will cause Donna's memories to come flooding back, and The Master seems to be different. He may be coming back due to another force or he could have regenerated from the ring. Look at the trailer and notice how his head switches to X-Ray.
Watch the very end of Waters of Mars. Donna is seen gripping her head because of an oncoming headache, which is the clue to her memories coming back. These were scenes from the next special The End of Time.

You will find The Master is controlling Donna through the ring. Also he regenerated with the help of The Doctors Hand, so therefore some of The Doctor is in him. Also that means some of The Master is in Donna

Donna never created an alternate reality, she heard heatbeats because she was going to do the metacrisis and create two half-time lord half-humans (her and the new doctor), and because of that all the timelines converged on her because that had never happened before
if you're on about the episode Turn Left, that wasn't an alternate reality but a trick played on her mind, showing her what would've happened if she chose a different path in life.

Anything is possible this happens to be Doctor Who. So expect the impossible. The Master has come back more times than I have had hot dinners. I think the daleks are coming back! mainly because the cybermen came out of the void into the past but where are the daleks? they haven't come out of the void yet.
i also think the master survived aswell, wasn't there a movie done a few years ago about the thirteenth doctor which the thirteenth doctor was evil, he didn't have a body and took over somebody else's body? so maybe the master does that!
Sorry let me think. No the Daleks were destroyed leaving just one who used a shift into the past where we met them again with Martha Jones. The cybermen were thrown into the void. There was no movie about an evil 13th Doctor. That person is The Master. The Daleks are coming back for Matt Smiths first adventure and possibly the Rani later on.

that was the cult of skaro, they survived the time war, the daleks were thrown into the void along with the cybermen
the dalek you see using the shift was dalek sec, the others in the cult also used a shift and went back in time, then dalek khan was the only dalek left until he went through the time lock on the time war and brought back davros.

The new producer/writer Steven Moffat has stated that he wants to use fresh monsters and not the daleks and cybermen all the time. We might see them but prolly not in 2010. The Master will be in the final 2 Tennant episodes.
I've never thought about this before, but it seems they've went to some trouble to feature the ring quite a lot - and more than just a piece of costume.

I think the whole ring theory is just people seeing things that are coincidence when it comes to Dona but the thing you have to remember is that Lazerus only made himself younger, also watch the end of the last timelord again even if he could come back there is one small problem, the doctor burned the body. That really can put a crimp on a resurection.

Might have sorted out the story then.. For all we know it might be a no-go story but don't you think it's suspicious how similar that particular ring looks too the one that the master left.. the directer could literally have had ANY ring on that hand but no.
Also.. if it was a trademark ring, why would it be so hidden? I wouldn';t have noticed it if not for this video.. might be alone here?

In the christmas specials, the Doctor becomes obsessed with preventing his death and the new found power he has. He basically turns into a baddy.
Meanwhile he has ripped holes between space and time and a Doctor from a parallel universe (Matt Smith) who regenerated instead of meddling with time, comes to our universve and has to fight Tennant's bad Doctor.

the master has been burned up before in past episodes of the classic series only to remerge more evil than ever. he survived being burned up this time due to the ring he wore which actualy stored his life essence. donna is not the rani but, she is part of a very complex trap. if you look at donnas ring it resembles the beetle that was put on her back by the tricksters brigade.

Not really RTD has always played around with words just as the Bad Wolf thing throught Series 1. Mister Saxon or Master of Six or the Sixth Master and now this. Did you see The Sarah Jane Adventures? The Trickster mentioned the gate that is a clue. The fact he left his own people and they did not die at all but he could not bare to say that he ran cause he was scared. It all comes back to haunt him in the final Specials and yes Gallifrey is def coming back

The Master comes back we never see his body burned at all. We only see the Doctor setting fire to a stack of logs with the Master on it. But there was time for somebody to untie the Master. Timelords can make themselves seem dead even when not

For crying out loud, I wish people would stop going on about the damn ring, it is the light reflecting off it, nothing more nothing less, there is NO hidden message or reason for it.
To my knowledge, the Master is definately returning and I believe that the Doctor is placed on trial, I have heard that Timothy Dalton (James Bond) is playing a Gallifreyan, so, expect possibly another trial of the timelord type episode, but, better.

It's throughout the series, really. But especially heavy in "Stolen Earth" and "Journey's End".

I dont know about the donnas ring. But like another doctor grew out of his hand i think if someones sets off the ring another master will appear but a bit diffrent like the 2nd doctor was. because if you watch the end of time trailer the master is john simm but he has bleach blonde hair. My boyfriend thinks there will be a master donna metocrisis or what ever its called but im not sure. Donna must die though musnt she? If she remembers the dr? hope that made sense lol x

she didn't regenerate, she absorbed the doctor's regenrated cells that he transferred to his hand earlier in that episode!! And when the doctor regenerates, it regenrates his living body cells inc. the 2 hearts, meaning that even if donna could regenerate, she could still do it with one heart!!

I think the daleks are coming back! mainly because the cybermen came out of the void into the past but where are the daleks? they haven't come out of the void yet.
i also think the master survived aswell, wasn't there a movie done a few years ago about the thirteenth doctor which the thirteenth doctor was evil, he didn't have a body and took over somebody else's body? so maybe the master does that!

Sorry let me think. No the Daleks were destroyed leaving just one who used a shift into the past where we met them again with Martha Jones. The cybermen were thrown into the void. There was no movie about an evil 13th Doctor. That person is The Master. The Daleks are coming back for Matt Smiths first adventure and possibly the Rani later on.

that was the cult of skaro, they survived the time war, the daleks were thrown into the void along with the cybermen
the dalek you see using the shift was dalek sec, the others in the cult also used a shift and went back in time, then dalek khan was the only dalek left until he went through the time lock on the time war and brought back davros.

The Valyard was the "evil" incarnation of the doctor that was supposedly between his 12th and 13th regenerations. It was during the 6th doctors "Trial of a Timelord" story arc. The Master has stolen several bodies that were not his own, most recently in the 1996 TV movie.
The new producer/writer Steven Moffat has stated that he wants to use fresh monsters and not the daleks and cybermen all the time. We might see them but prolly not in 2010. The Master will be in the final 2 Tennant episodes.

I think the whole ring theory is just people seeing things that are coincidence when it comes to Dona but the thing you have to remember is that Lazerus only made himself younger, also watch the end of the last timelord again even if he could come back there is one small problem, the doctor burned the body. That really can put a crimp on a resurection.

Yes but that was because the Time Lord Masters had the power to bring him back mind you the whole It's coming back thing added to the fact that Timothy Dalton is on IMDB as playing a Time Lord Chancalor coupled with the fact that Dalek Kahn broke the timeseal on the time wars makes me think that all of Galafray is coming back and that they bring back the Master. people open your bloody eyes! the matsers ring has lazerus's symbols ALL OVER IT look at the lazerus experiment episode, the same symbol ( the ying yang style one) is all over his labs and moniters and lift doors! on the matsers ring the circles ALL have TIMELORD text on them. the master also mentioned that he used lazerus technology for is lazer scredriver, so why cant he use it in a ring too? hes obviously saved himself in it in some way! Thought people?
