@EntrailSaunders I have asked this question to a lot of people and I haven't gotten a straight answer yet. In what objective sense is Apple computers better than a Windows computer? They cost more for less power, less customization, OS X is less secure than XP Vista and 7, a lack of software compatibility... I just can't think of any real objective reason...
PC stands for Personal Computer, therefore these ads are also making fun of macintoshes, good work apple, call your entire market stupid without them knowing it
@GeekinsteinTutorials pretty much the only people who had problems with Vista are the ones who put it on computers that had no business running it. Microsoft even told everyone that it was intensive and should be put on computers with updated hardware. I remember reading a blog from a guy who complained that some of his hardware wasn't supported (drivers etc.) but the companies that made his hardware didn't even EXIST anymore
@wilhamlin yeah but then for mac all you need is a disc and it guides you step-by-step on how to install the new platform, and you can do software updates right from your mac!
@dannydudeful Well every OS Apple released since 1999 have been nothing more than service packs, which Microsoft doesn't charge you for and can be downloaded automatically. And when installing a new OS, assuming you aren't using an out-of-date computer, is installed from a disk as well

@mailerxxdaemon Well considering the first computer with a touchscreen was an HP running Windows, and the first touchpad for Desktops were Window only, so I wouldn't say that they are behind. But the only reason you don't see touchsreens and pads are because a mouse is easier and more accurate. Screens and pads are only good for mobility. And I've used Vista since Beta, and it never crashed so that makes your argument invalid

My computer is great, does what I want it to do (really fast), is very stable and has intuitive software. I am also happy.

i dont know why they say pc is only for work stuff in all of these commerciels, macs arent good for video games, and i dont think thats buisness, the windows movies maker and windows media player are both drag and drop, but the mac is really bad or changing setting, ive used them and owned one so i know, you need to do all of these elabrate cross button combos to open up most things, it annoying, pc rules is what im getting at, but theses commercials are making it look bad.
What the commercials bug me about is they say PC is good for financial stuff. Mac can do all that too. I've never seen a commercial that mentions that.
not true... the operating system does not play apart in the speed of a computer.. im running an amd pc with mac. so that statement is false. besides windows has done great things in the past but ubuntu linux and mac are uprising and soon windows will be no longer... windows 7 looks like a knock off of linux and mac.
i agree with you about windows 7, but the os has a lot to do with the computer's speed. for example, all types of windows have a major problem with memory leaks. so the longer you leave the computer on, the slower it gets.
I've always had macs, but I transferred to a college that is almost completely mac incompatible so I sold my macbook for an acer that runs on windows- It's so frustrating that often I am driven to tears. This song is so, so true. :[
