D-link dap-1150 repeater mode _ increase wifi signal

Hello, i need help trying to configure my NetComm NB6Plus4W router to a D-Link DHP-W306AV Wireless Range Extender....I'm NOT having much luck connecting or configuring. Can you help please?

if i want use the this router for gaming consle i must use AP Clinet mode?

At 3:40 why do you have to set the ip address? is this required for every laptop that connects to the repeater router?
