...And that IS why, because it's alot harder and makes you have to think on very good strategies and be cautious during fighting, instead of just randomly attack and use a few skills to win :P
That's the point of a Low Level Challenge, to increase the difficult of the game, and "challenge" yourself. GU is a VERY easy game, after all, so it's nice to add up some difficult to it XD

Do just like in my video....use skills constantly, and make sure you use the Skill Trigger right besides Ovan, so the "shockwave" staggers him a bit (prevents him from using an attack)...and most important, make sure to go to a full Beast Awakening. Using Beast Awakening or not can be what defines if you'll win or not, at low level at least
no you dont need too i just brought atoli and sakubo for this one I made atoli and sakubo in rage mode when we are still ok I attacked with them but if our health or sp is low instead of them healing me I heal them Try it it works and oh yeah beast awakening is a must in this one :)

@Deadfantasyfanofespe a i used khun and atoli 2 but my haseos lvl was 120 and my atolis lvl was 118 and khuns lvl was 117 rage mode is ok but i prefer 2 use the beast mode because ovan doesnt move and u can have time 2 kill him and there are no cheat codes ^_^
Press and hold L1, and your team stop any action (unless it's unstoppable, like a skill) and will start following you around until you release L1. It also helps to cancel their combos if you don't want them to use them...so if you see them doing a combo, press L1 a little, and then they'll cancel their current combo, and most likely use a skill instead as you release L1.
Skill Boost is the important one here. If you notice, the damage i do from normal attacks doesn't get over 15...it's the skills such like Tiger Strike and Heavenly Wheel that inflict the high damage, and that's all thanks to Skill Boost. Also helps to have your weapons alchemized to +5...increases damage even more.
It's actually easier if you go with Haseo alone than with a team :P If you go with a team at a low level, they'll instantly get caught into a skill, killing them and causing the enemy to unleas lots of long-range blows, and each one can damage you for 9999...and if you avoid them, then they still get high morale and decrease yours, putting them close to a 100% lethal Awakening. Also they're more aggresive...with Haseo alone, you can stay in the middle without anyone touching you for a while XD
And well...it's easy; i just play as i do normally and end up winning :P Specifically for The Sweepstakers, is to focus on the leader (Ono), do Hangekis as much as possible, and let it all out on her with an Awakening. Two or three awakenings and it's over...4 or 5 if Wolf Song has a healing mood.
I've beaten them with only a lv120~ Haseo XD And i'm lazy for FoP and defeated it entirely at lv150 (mainly because i leveled all the way up beating enemies)...but i could easily beat it under 30 min and with Haseo at lv135 at highest :P
Go to Canard's @home, and in one of the rooms you'll see Death Grunty sitting by a machine. Talk to him and he'll alchemize your weapons. To avoid wider explanation, you need many weapons of the same name, and when you alchemize them, they'll "merge" together into a weapon and say +1 to +5, depending of the number of weapons you had for the alchemy.

i beat him the first time in vol 2 at level 70, god that was a long fight, ovan isnt hard just annoying as hell, especially if you dont kill the recovery neighbors right away
heres a good tip use a sword like endrances lost weapon that can charm if a opp is charmd it hits teammates of thiers and if none of them are there they just do nothing or dopple ganger weapons (not used) idk if it well work on ovan but the heine zero dopple takes 90% of your hp
Neither Charm or Devolve Invite, or any of the Doppel weapons's abilities, work on Ovan. Only "drains" work, but they suck, so using those weapon against Ovan is useless. You don't really need any tips, just use actually-good abilities with powerful attacks and that's all.
No, actually i had Physical -50% (you can see for a second that i have an Absorb Tiger equipped). That's the normal max SP my Haseo has, probably from so many books/texts from past volumes XD
Umm...Why don't you follow the strategy in my video? Or do something similar to what i do? o-O Doesn't matter much the party members you use, it all depends of your strategy. Though Endrance, Bo, Kuhn and Pi can be useful for most strategies.
better to lvel up first.. do sum training .. I actually bring atoli and endrance with me, atoli as a cleric for our lives and endrance doing good dmg.. I've killed ovan already have max lv skilled weapon, like reaper's dance, so it's easy for me to kill this guy >:)

I have like 8 Gudo Oil and 5 Boost Candles XD But i like using Biker's Charm, same thing and i only use it for healing anyhow >3> I did have a Boost Candle and Gudo Oil on a Fortunes +5 before, but i replaced them with Skill Boost :3
My idea is actually to use the Beast Awakening before the Reject's effect comes (they might appear but the barrier doesn't comes if you're quick enough), but i just wasn't fast enough and Ovan starts going crazy with the 2 Neighbors as he doesn't twitch D:

What happened to me was I spent a long long time preparing...
And it was easy. I had Spin Gorai+5, Wrath Dowan, and the Lost Weapon Scythe. I was level 124, and it was fairly easy.

You can alchemize weapons, armor, and accessories, and the gaining from alchemy are
With weapons: PATK is increased up to x1.25
With armor: Reduces damage up to -25%
With accessory: Reduces elemental damage up to -15% (not sure, but it was elemental damage reduction anyways 'XD)

Actually, i have 530SP and, since Endrance has 528SP and Bo over 600SP, i assume that's the normal/bit-high SP for such level XD
And as a comparison, i have about 550 at lv110, and at lv150 i don't reach 700. :P

My idea is actually to use the Beast Awakening before the Reject's effect comes (they might appear but the barrier doesn't comes if you're quick enough), but i just wasn't fast enough and Ovan starts going crazy with the 2 Neighbors as he doesn't twitch D:
