  • 0:45 - remember that well, was sat 6 feet away from a red faced Ryan Giggs!

  • is the sound going through only one speaker for everyone?

  • In the era of Waddle there was... Robson Hoddle Lineker Barnes Beardsley Pearce Wilkins Walker Shilton Gazza Why do we wonder about the disappointment in the current England team? Because there is... Lampard Gerrard Terry Rio and... Rooney The lads of the 80's and 90's were footballers of a different ilk The footballers of today are good but not great because of certain essential aspects of a sportsman: Character; Attitude; Commitment.
  • How did we know Waddle was a fantastic player?

When he was setting the world on fire in Marseilles in 1991 Graham Taylor wouldn't pick him for England. LOL

  • we had him on trial twice when he was first starting out but didnt fancy him. another great move by sunderland!

  • @MackemCook73 Sunderland had him on loan as well. Wanted a contract when SAFC went down, but Murray wouldnt give him one. Would have been handy for that league as well.

  • Theres only one chrissy waddle!

  • ethethethethethethe chris waddle!

  • simply the best..owls legend!!

  • Full on legend

  • CHRISSY WADDLE!!!!

  • thank you man, for happiness you give to us

  • Skinned Giggs..class

  • wish he was at wednesday in his prime now we wunt be in league one

  • ohh gigsy lol its ok u still great player

  • And he said walcott dont have a footballing brain.

  • Is that David Hirst next to Chris Waddle in the studio?

  • It is indeed. I hope they re-inforced the sofa before letting them too on it. What a player Waddle was.

  • HAHA sit down Giggsy!!

  • Ha, taught Giggs everything he knows clearly.

  • Chris Waddle at his peak was better than any player in the Premiership now! And i'm not just talking about him, Back in the 80's John Barnes, Peter Beardsley on his day, I still reckon now that if Trevor Steven, David Rocastle or Steve Coppell were playing now that David Beckham at his best would be either third or fourth in the running for right midfield. Rocastle and Coppell were much better than him, Steven was more solid. Beckham is well overatted. Waddle and Barnes on the wings.

  • Legend in marseille too !!!!

Papin + Waddle = the best pair of offensive players ever .

and beckam ,yes he's overated like juninho ,just a free kick machine !!

  • @drum1707

I'm a Marseille fan, Chris was AMAZING! Really fantastic player.

  • @drum1707 I dont think anyone would put Rocastle in that type of bracket. He was good but not great. Dont forget he was sold by Arsenal when he was still in his 'prime' because he spent so long behind Graham's first choices and only had scarse appearances for Graham Taylor's England even during that era's famine of good players. He may have been a hero for Arsenal fans because he was a local boy but I dont recall any calls for him to play for England for very good reason.

  • @drum1707 Definately Barnes, Beardsley and Waddle. Maybe Rocastle. Steve Coppell? ..mmm. NO!

  • put giggs on his ARSE a few times didn't he?

  • best goal for bradford!! go on waddle!! city til i die! wat a goal!
