The drummer is Mickey Jones and he was a biker in a lot of tv shows and movies. He played with Trini Lopez and Johnny Rivers and was also one of the drummers who took Levon Helms' place in the Hawks when they backed Dylan on his first electric tour. That's Jones on the famous Royal Albert Hall 'Judas' concert (which was actually in Manchester).
What have I done with my life? I'm 33 and I did NOT know I could watch a young, fat, coked out heavily bearded Kenny Rogers play Psychedelic rock with a couple of look-alikes and one hip, I mean hip lady.
Must have been quite a concert - I am lovin' Kenny and the First Edition - it is as I suspected as a child, Kenny is soul and R&B through and through.
Kenny, FunkiFied.

This has to be one of greatest drug songs ever and this was one heck of a performance. Yes, children, this is what Kenny Rogers used to do.

I think the drummer was in the television mini-series 'V' from 1984.

Yeah, I saw them in NC around 1970, just before I got my license. That hip lady is Mary Arnold who later married Roger Miller.

Such a classic sound for the times with the B3. I miss those days.

The drummer looks like the guy who plays a biker villian in every 70's clint eastwood movie. I bet its him.

I had no idea that Kenny was a bass player early in his career. A tele bass to boot.
