look, seti only sends out a certain type of signals. whether it's radio waves or what have you. but the point is, it's so insignificant that the aliens that are probably out there are not just 100 or 200 years more advanced; they're more than likely thousands if not millions at the very least. so, our signals are completely foreign to them and as doctor michio kaku says "we might be in the middle of a galactic conversation and we would never even know it."

There's billions of other solar systems just within this galaxy, and then there's trillions of other galaxies..each containing there own trillion solar systems. The multiverse theory states that there's probably an infinite number of other universes out there besides this one. So basically, it's pretty much mathematically impossible for there NOT to be life besides us. There are probably trillions if not an infinite number of other intelligent societies out there.

If there is any need for proof that alien life exists, it is the simple fact that WE exist. The chances for us existing are incredibly miniscule, and that makes the chance for other life existing even greater.

B) Even if we did get it back, we'd have no idea what was said, probably because of loss of records. It would be having a conversation with Clive Wearing.

Just by the odds given the number of stars in the universe, & the number of stars with planets, & as its becoming apparent the number of stars with planets in the habitable zone, were probably not alone.
