i had a dalk corneal graft two months ago because my keratoconus could not be corrected with lenses. it isn't easy to deal with and has all those things they say about rejection and risks, but i'd say to anyone who is worried about having this surgury that you shouldnt be afraid and you should approach the situation with confidence and optimism. the results can be life changingly astounding. anyone who is in recovery like me, keep your head up.
I would just like to say i'm having my cornea transplant on tuesday the 25th of Oct. i'm not worried but i am glad to see what the surgery will be like and what i can expect. This is my first one and i will need both eyes done but we're doing the left eye first since it's the worst of the two. I'm hoping for no rejection and hoping that i get to really see all tha i've been missing.
i just had this surgery on thursday ..i dont remember too much but now im just resting up..im not in too much pain i just like to sleep because thats the only time im relaxed
I just have keratoconus in both of my eyes, and I just had my cornea transplant surgery done yeesterday on my left eye. Pain is mild at worst, it's mainly just extremely uncomfortable, feel like yo u have a rock in your eye constasntly. My eye waters almost non -stop and blinking is extremely awkward. Here's to a healthy recovery!
Just recently had this surgery. Know exactly how he feels, the pain was horrific at times but there is slight improvement in my sight after two weeks, I'm hoping it doesn't reject!
i have kerataconus in my left eye and im scared to deathhh that i'll finally have the courage to go through with the surgery and then my body will reject the transplant
I'm suppose to be having a corneal transplant but from what my doctors told me is that my insurance won't pay for the procedure and glacoma runs in my family I don't want to go blind I'm just 19 years old and I'm really worried about that and need advice or something to find out how to get the surgery I'm scared I don't want to lose my sight
I have the same problem he has.. I have keratuconus in both eyes I'm legally blind and I had my first transplant 2 years ago.. But since 4 months ago I been having rejection and I'm just trying to save the cornea. It's really bad though cause now I'm very sensitive to the light and it hurts sometimes..
yeah i had a cornia transplant back in october and am seeing pretty well now. it can be tough at times cuz i need eye drops constantly every day. but if i didnt do the surgery i woulda went blinde. so i am very greatfull
