  • AAAHH I think you punched those holes out before you made the video :), (Just kidding), That's some very nice shooting, I also shoot Savage rifles in 300 Win Mag and 243 Win and love the accuracy of these "not so expensive guns" not to mention very well built.

  • Can you get away with a 4-14 40x scope on the 300 yard line?

  • @dcassese617 - Yes, but on tactical or any other match where the spotting scope is not allowed you cannot see the holes on target to do any corrections.

  • This is Cherry Ridge in NJ, right?

  • @dcassese617 - yes

  • see

  • nice rifle to bad ya spent the money on gloves instead of investing in a better scope..lolJust Kidding.. how ya like the Osprey? hold zero well and track ok?

  • @mrblueagian - Osprey is ok for the price. Well once you have the group 2-3 inches close to the center start using Kentucky windage :) I have a Weaver Target T-Series 36x40 scope and holds much better but is 3 times more money.

  • @ColdFusion0 IU had purhcased a bushnell elite 3200 tactical in a 10 power and wow for the pirce I have never had a scope that was as clear tracked as good or held zero so well.. in fact the reason I bought it is because I hadone come on a barret .50 call i purchased and is still on it to this day with no loss of zero... check it out.. ya will find its the best 200 bucks ya ever spent .. u cn see it on my vids..

  • nice rifle and good shooting ! im soon to get the fcp in 308, but will trade stock for the choate it just feel,s soo right you know.

  • are the gloves necessary?

  • Gloves absorb the pulse from your hands.

  • what scope is that?

  • Osprey 10 - 40x50 mm Tactical

  • @ColdFusion0 just wandering whats the maximum rang your Osprey can go

  • @harpy2010 - I never tryed all the way up, maybe 800y.

  • @ColdFusion0 ok thanks yeah. i i looked it up and on some site it said 1000yards but, thought i'd wait to see what you say any one can say, but asking some one who knows 1st hand is best and thanks again i'll be ordering one as soon as i can lol oh and do you know if it be good on a savage 30-06 just hoping you know. just getting into rifles know a little more about 9mms

  • @harpy2010 - Because most of the scopes out there dont have a nough clicks for elevation adjustment that can be corrected by installing higher scope mount base on the rear receiver.

  • @harpy2010 - 30-06 is a good choice for long range shooting. If you looking to go over 1000 yards you may wont to consider getting .338 lapua or 300 Win. Mag.

But 30-06 is little bit more powerful than 308.

  • @ColdFusion0 oh a 30-06 can take those rounds

  • @harpy2010 - not true

  • @ColdFusion0 ok one more thing man i'm looking for a scope that can go at at least 400 yards. sadly have to find one cheap for what it can do if you can rekamend any i'm sure ebay is best way to go but hey never know

  • @harpy2010 - Weaver T-Series Rifle Scope 36x 40mm Adjustable Objective 1/8 MOA - 400$

  • savage dosent list the savage 12fv in .308 but there are gun shops that have it.

  • I have a Savage 10FCP with HS precision stock, bull/floated barrel, the whole bit. I love the .308 caliber... My best groups are with 168 grain Barnes bullets and 41.5 grains Varget cylindrical powder... Similar load to what you were shooting (I think). Nice .308!

  • yesterday i went to the range aND USED a club rifle .308 we were shooting factory ammo and this gun was a good 40 years old yet i still managed to extremely well not sure how. oh and we were using apeture sites

  • What kind of scope do you have on it?

  • I just shot one of these today, the recoil is nasty it almost took of my shoulder

  • :) Are you shore was .308? Maybe was 30-06?

  • positive my dad showed me

  • Welcome to the club dude :)

  • is the amax a more accurate round then say the sierra 168 gr hbbt? thanks

  • The best grouping i get is with Sierra palma match 155gr.

  • I love your rifle. I am looking at getting a Model 12 FV but I don't like the factory stock, what stock do you have on yours?

  • That is the original stock painted.

  • i shot a 1 1/2 inch group at 300 yds with my 243 pencil thick barrel and 9 3x9 power scope . my hunting rifle. im 14

  • "Once i shot 10 rounds in the same hole. Then i realize that i missed the whole target"

  • What kind, and whats size of scope is on that gun?

  • Osprey 10 - 40x50 mm Tactical Scope

  • Holy shit ,NICE!!!!!

  • is the recoil on this thing that bad? im torn if i should get a 30-30 or a 308 but im a woman so which would be better for me?

  • The recoil of 30-30 and .308 is same but .308 is much more accurate.

  • ok thanks

  • well im a younger dude but ive shot both i perfer the 30 30 then 308 after shooting the 308 my arm hurt like a b*tch lol but also 308 is a sniper rifle so its better for lo nger distance shots but i would recomend go and try to find a range that lets u rent rifles and then go out and shoot the two and then could decide more easly

  • holly shit thats great grouping ..

  • love the techno haha nice shooting i just bought a winchester model 70, .308 yesterday

  • That is a nice rifle . Collectors item.

  • i got the savage 111 f what do you think is better 30-06 or 308 im a beginer if you have noticed lol thanks man

  • 30-06 is more powerfool fo hunting. You can take large game like elk and black bear.

.308 has less recoil , cheaper to shoot and has similar trajectory like 30-06.

  • oh dam thanks for the info do you know anything about painting the berrel i got desert camo on my stock but my berrel is blued

  • Take look my video:

    My Guns and Blades Collection

On 9:27 you can see my SKS homemade cammo paint and at: 9:43 is old shotgun cammo painted.

For more info go to the snipercountry web site and take look at the - How To Camouflage A Rifle

  • Savage 111 great rifle . Accurate right out of the box.

  • Nice groups.

  • im selling my like new savage arms 111 .30-06 its on gunbroker its comes with a 160.00 scope, bipod and recoil stock pad. the guns worth well over 600. i paid 420 for just the gun it's self. let me know if anyones interested i can send you the link

  • What are you doing with the computer?

  • E-mail

  • Haha got it. Don't mean to be nosy; I thought it might be some kind of range/accuracy calculator or log.

  • Is this Cherry Ridge ? It looks very familiar to me.

  • Yes :)

  • Nice, I miss that place, I live further south now, same state. Was a member there for years. Thanks for the video. Is J** still there ? & his 2 cocker spaniels? Enjoy your time there, its a good range, nice people.

  • so who gave me a negative for asking that ? at least tell me why .

  • What negative?

  • not you, but some ass gave me a -1, look over at the thumbs up, thumbs down , its rights next to the reply/remove for each comment.. Probably some Anti Gunner , who knows. U tube is strange like that. Anyway, good luck with your shooting. enjoy.

  • Here i gave you tumbs up and now you are back. I never paid attention to that before.

  • Good grouping!

  • dood groop if it,s from 300 yards of a bypod

  • i have a .22lr for rabbits and foxes and a .223 for pigs and dogs/cats but want a bit better. is the 308 more accurate and powerful for longer distances, bigger animals?

  • Yes. Up to 800- 1000 yaqrds. Depends on the load. 22LR 100 yards & .223 600 yards.

  • good music ...good music

  • LYNYRD SKYNYRD!

  • is that a vangelis remix or something??the song i mean?never heard this version but very fimiliar with blade runner!!!!

Oh shit hot rifle btw, i cant get one in this country :(

  • Sorry i have no idea about the song.

You can not get rifle permit in UK or Savage rifles?

  • Both i think, way to much hasttle to try and get a rifle like this unless you stay on a farm or gamekeeping is your job.sux!

  • Yes you are right. People who want to do crime dont use register guns. They use iligal guns.

  • okay so im just getting into shooting...duz this have a worse kick than a 30/30 ?

  • About same. But 30 30 is more for hunting up to 200 yards. It is not acurate above 200 yards.

  • I beg to differ; I shoot quite well with mine at 300-400 yards without a scope.

  • If you have a 24inch barrel then for long range accuracy you need to shoot 175gr. Matchkings or something with a similar B.C. 168gr. is great for up to 500yds but to get out to 1000yds with best accuracy you need 175's.

  • Thank you.

  • I hear the 168gr Sierra works great out to 1000 yards.

  • Yes.

  • By the way, very nice shooting and beautiful rifle.

  • Thanks

  • ooo-rahhh!

  • What type of glass you got on it? Leupold? Model?

  • Osprey 10-40x50 mm Long Range Tactical Scope.

10 times cheaper than Leupold or some high end scopes and shoots great. Sporstsmans Guide special 106$.

  • I started researching this rifle about 2 days ago, and defn. going to buy this week. Everyone i talked to said to change out the stock. I heard about HS, Macmillan. I see you are no different. What is the make of that stock? Excellent shooting! And I love your range.

  • Thanks. The stock is the original. I spray painted (Home Depot Special :)

  • looks like fun. great shooting

  • Wow, great shooting! I couldn't really read your load data on the ammo box. What load concoction were you shooting? I have the exact same rifle, and would like to load up something more accurate than 150gn plinking rounds. Thanks for sharing!
