  • This would so win the oscar for "Best Opera"!

Anyone does not think so, they have no sense of humor!

  • 4:00 cracks me up all the time...gotta love old school toons!

  • I realize there is a lot of stereotype here, but it's all in good fun. Someone please tell me what's wrong with the black bit singing blues, or the redneck bit, or the chinese bit, or anything else? What is REALLY WRONG with this? It's not like we're using any slang words that are offensive to a particular race. Please tell me WHAT IS SO OFFENSIVE in this cartoon?

  • This here's my favorite one [next to the one with droopy and the musical fleas]. Thank you so much for posting it!

and why indeed would anyone get butthurt at this toon, *says with a William Hartnell style voice [which sounds like a British version of yoda]* would the person be so tightly wound that If I stuck a lump of coal up its ass, I would have a fine 24 karat diamond in a day, hmm?

  • 0:11-0:14 the drumming noise in the background is the exact same noise heard in "Doggone Tired" In the scene where Speedy the dog is dancing outside the rabbit hole in that cartoon's opening.

  • 3:12 was the best part, I cracked up so BADLY! Ironically I'm Chinese :P

  • Does anyone know what the asian was singing? I know both mandarin and Cantonese but still fail to figure out!

  • We should all know that the stereotypes were HORRIBLE back then. I have to admit....this cartoon still makes me laugh! It was pretty genius. I am so glad that black people, Hispanics, Asians, etc are portrayed in a better light, but this is still funny. LOL!

  • Thanks fo the complete unedited version!

  • Tex avery are the best cartoons ive ever seen in my whole life!

  • This is the best cartoon ever!

  • @truenorrodante48 - Thanks so much!

  • Imagine if the wolf was singing? BILLYYYYY BOY BOY BOY BOY BOY

  • que recuerdo,,,, nice ty man

  • ♥ .

  • 9 people lost their yellow basket to blackface

  • Does anyone happen to know who is singing "Largo Al Fortuna"? Caruso? I'm trying to figure out who would have been a popular opera singer back then, that also cut recordings. Of course, Caruso's recordings are usually a little muddier, because the technology wasn't there yet. I'd love to know.

  • @HollyRats Carlos Julio Ramirez

  • "racial stereotypes" bullshit!! I only saw great display of epic multicultural fun.

also we all know that this black stereotype is good, they showed the stereotype of a great black singer, and you saw the cowboy(bad singer) stereotype, so what's the deal with those assholes and censorship taking away a cultural legacy because politically racially correctness. 5 stars cartoon.

  • 50 years from now, the way ethnic groups are portrayed openly on TV today will be considered highly insensitive and culturally unaware. Sure, there's plenty more counterexamples on TV these days than there used to be; but even so, many decades from now, only the worst offenders will be singled out as the normal behavior for our generation.

  • LMAO, I lose it every time he pulls the hair off the screen, you don't see animators try things like that nowadays. Tex, we need your genius once again!

  • @Whitelock84 Definitely! That little hair got on my nerves and when he finally plucks it, i always yell THANK YOU!

  • Tex Avery is so funny and the gags come at you so fast he wears you out just watching.

  • LMFAO!!!!! Loved this version and I've seen it since I was 4? So 34 years not offensive in the least!!! The PC crowd gets too easily up in arms over stuff like this!

  • Can't get anymore nostalgic than enjoying a piece of fine work by Tex Avery!

  • funny how people think this is racist when most of todays black celeb perpetrate every negative stereotype but people think that is entertainment.

  • @wsmokr Yeah, considering all they did back then was make fun of things like clothing, dance and accents. Hardly things to get offended over.

  • 1 of my favorite cartoons ever.

  • Magic Maestro too Much.

  • the last transformation is the best.

  • 5:00

i am part black...i think that was funny....lol.....this cartoon is the product of the times...it was not racist but stereo-typical...lol...you gotta laugh at your self at times to remember how to be humble...lol...

  • This is from back in the day before people forgot how to laugh at themselves and got uptight and offended by everything.

  • Those funny lookin' rabbits KILL me.

  • Lol If there wasn't a race that was insulted in this one skit I'd like to know what it was so I could draw it in myself! This was totally one of my utmost FAVORITES from Tex Avery!

  • hahahahahahahahaha

    hahahahahahahahaha

  • We need another tex avery today

  • hahahahahahhahahhahahahahahhaha

  • Epic cartoon, will be remembered even in a hundred years. Avery was such a genius...

  • Best cartoon ever!

  • One of the best!!!

  • Years looking for this cartoon, you made my night!

  • lmao

  • THIS GUY WAS A GENIUS!

  • holyshit!! i found it finally!!! hahahah...my long lost childhood laughter!!

  • The clenched fists @ 5:08 had me dying! He knew he was singing his butt off. The song actually is "Everything I Have Is Yours". What is the Hawaiian song?

  • @joint67 evry stereotype in the book on everyone he didnt leave anyone out or concentrate on any group. That's just freakin hilarious.

  • @joint67 And wasn't ''Everything I Have is Yours'' sung by a group named the Ink Spots? Kinda makes it fit the fountain pen gag, don't you think?

  • hahah the bulldog totally deserved it.

  • it's racist to the black and asian race lol

  • 4:34 makes me blow with a laugh since I was 7!

  • me podrian decir cuando un hipopotamo se rie y estan con romeo y julieta porfa

  • when is was like 5 years old it made me so laugh....now after 20 years its the same=))) GREAT!!!!!!

  • Nice blackface there, Mr. Avery.

  • Klazzic Tex after all these years this is still a fun azz kartoon just be @work krackin' up thinkin' about this toon......lol

  • Thank God for you sir, for posting this cartoon, which I have not seen in over 25 years. You start to think that you imagined the things that you know so well. I've been singing the "a tisket, a tasket" part since childhood because of this cartoon. I also think this cartoon helped to usher in not only psychedelia but also free jazz later in the mid 60s.

  • This is one of the best!! Why do they P.C. good cartoons to death???

  • My favorite Tex Avery cartoon! Thank you for uploading this.

  • The stereotypes are meant to be satire. There's no racism here. Just good clean fun.

  • OMG I was tears! I haven't seen the uncensored one in decades!!!! It felt good to see it again. A tisket a tasket put me on the floor!!!!!

  • Hahaha!!! Classic!

  • the chinese part cracks me up

  • LOL, one of the few times Spike got satisfaction. I am glad they kept somewhat of an evil streak...particuarlly after going through that.

  • masterpiece cartoon

  • HILARIOUS

I was looking for YEARS for the unedited version

    thanks for posting

  • so respectless to call the dog poochini like giacomo pucini XD

  • Wher can I purchase this and bugs bunny uncensored cartoons?

  • I didn't understand that hair pluck thing....

  • Best cartoons ever! True genius well made. Just like America was before, a standard of excellence.

  • HAHAHAHAHAH!! THE INK SPOTS!! BRILLIANT!

  • whats that last Hawaiian song ? anyone knows ?

  • crazy shit lmao......o man

  • I will always love this cartoon. Top notch animation, timing, everything. There will never be another like Tex Avery.

P.S. It sounds like the first half of the blackface is meant to be a parody of the popular African-American singing group The Ink Spots.

  • Thanks for this upload King! This is the version of the cartoon that I saw when I was a boy. With today's cartoons like Family Guy,American Dad, & South Park;how can anyone list these classics as banned?! It's obvious that Tex Avery influenced today's cartoon creators. BTW... I'm a Black man who loves those classic cartoons with the racial overtones.

  • This is the first time I see Spike win a match LOL

  • honestly, even this is a nice cartoon, I like a lot the voice who sing the song Largo al Factotum, if somebody knows who he is I will appreciate it to let me know

  • Yeah, it does have its racist overtones...however, I'm 39 years old and this cartoon still has my friends and I laughing our asses off. I introduced my kids to these cartoons and they laugh at the same parts as I did.

  • XD i want to thank my friend richard "Telling me of this!" i was never been laughing so hard

    thank you classic cartoon's ^^

  • Where's the "I LOVED MY CHILDHOOD" button?

  • Name of classic song Poochini is singing is:

"Largo al factotum". Part of the soundtrack of Gioacchino Rossini's The Barber of Seville. :)

    Now you know.

  • true classic. Im black and it didnt offend me at all. loved this shit when I was a kid.

  • Thirteen.

Thirteen years. I have been searching for this episode for thirteen years. On this day, October 23, 2011, I have finally found it after my sister found out the name.

I want to die now. There is no way a final breathing hour can be filled with this much joy.

    Thirteen....

  • @myqueensindel well said.

  • Tex Avery....GENIOUS!!!

  • *-*

  • I'm 45 years old and this cartoon STILL cracks me up.

  • min 5.33, poochini it´s dancing hardbass xD

  • this is so racists..... and hilarious

  • definitely some insensitive racial shit, as a kid you would never notice it....i was laughing my ass as a kid...but all cartoons were like this back in the day, especially prejudice disney...

  • 5:08 to 5:21 I think there trying to sound like The Ink Spots :o

  • @4;20 i was like that shit is botherin me what is that? lol

  • TRIVIA:

The 'hair in the projector gate' gag was so realistic, many projectionists attempted to remove the hair themselves, not realizing it was part of the cartoon.

  • Back when cartoons were cartoons.

It's funny, but I never saw the racial stereotype as an offensive racial stereotype. I'm sure they later censored it due to butthurt parents who thought their kids would be desensitized by this... like kids nowadays haven't seen worse.

  • 5:10 LMAO

  • how can anyone not think this is funny,pc crybabies

  • funny how this is considered too racist and not south park

  • @cg123ize excellent point, by the way, if anything, this cartoon is probably the least racist of all, since it makes fun of all the ethnicities, who cares about that anyway, it's just funny as hell, and the hair gag, is pure gold

  • Some Budy know the name of saong when is a chines or a cowboy (3:26)???

  • 3:58 ahhaaha

4:30 i've lost my yelow basket.

    5:34 funiest dance

  • EDITH: Arrrrrrrrrrrrccchhhie yawr favorite cawtoon is awwwwwnnn

ARCHIE: Oooohhhhh! Holy cow there Edith, I love the way the dawg there mocks the chinks, coloreds, rednecks and hawaiians there. I could just imagine an ARCHIE BUNKER moment with this cartoon YOU?

  • Comment removed

  • FÍGARO

  • is 5:08 a real song? If it is PLEASE tell me it's name :D

  • My favorite since childhood. The best. THeT don't mk them like this anymore.

  • Wow, There was so much racism in this cartoon! I never thought anything about it when I was a kid in the 70's...imagine them airing this today?...There would be riots! LOL

40's and 50's cartoons were the best!

  • @macroevolve

I wouldn't all it "racism" since they probably didn't do it with an intent to offend.

  • The Chinese part was the best! HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA

  • @AudiWitte I know that, I put it in quotes, cause when he pulls it out, it's like a "WTF?" moment on his face. I was making a joke...

  • 5:33 I COULDNT STOP LAUGHING LOL XD

  • BEST TEX AVERY EPISODE EVER!! XD

  • I LOST MY YELLOW BASKET (pop!) xD

  • when i was a kid watching this i learned you dont mess with a magician or ventriloquist

  • 4:21.... "what is this thing?"

  • @JJGeneral1 It's exactly what you think it is - a hair. However this is a fake hair. It's not as common now-a-days but way back when it was somewhat common for a human hair and dust to get sucked in to the projector. The dust was fine but the hair could get stuck near the aperture and you'd see this little hair stuck on the side of the picture for a while until it finally got pulled off as the film went through.

  • 3:09 5:08 and 5:33 are classic! Good stuff here, just wish children cartoons were made like they used to be & not so PC. Seems like this type of comedy would just get you in hot water these days. Wonder what Archie Bunker would be like in today's society?

  • @JFRago5 '

a lot like Cartman I'd imagine, and people LOVE him.

  • @JFRago5 So true, I think Western Society have it backward. Calling something Politically Correct to help ease the tension between stereotypes are ludicrous if you ask me. Instead of promoting ignorance, why not educating and training people to be less sensitive. The medieval times tried ignorance and we all know it didn't work, it's time to try something new.

  • @JFRago5 This is a great cartoon. 5:08 still makes me laugh like hell.

I wonder if the PC police would complain of the southern "stereotype" at 3:26. I doubt it. They'd be OK with it.

  • @JFRago5 I love when people talk about things being too pc? They usually aren't the ones being made fun off.

  • LOVE this cartoon!! Watched it as a kid and I'm still laughing!! Thanks for posting!! :)

  • I've been searching 4 dis cartoon since I was like 9 it took me 5 years to get to see this hilarious cartoon again

  • The 'hair in the projector gate' gag was so realistic, many projectionists attempted to remove the hair themselves, not realizing it was part of the cartoon.

  • @TranceInstrukt That kind of detail made Avery a genius. Unique! The only one near is Chuck Jones, but Tex was crazier :D It's interesting to know about that hair, because it was very common in old movies. When I was a kid, tv channels used a "telecine" to project directly into a tv camera (there was not magnetoscopes until 1980 in Chile), and that god damn hair was always there! When I saw this toon, I was also fooled, and almost pissed myself when he got rid of it! :D

  • @solnegrolunaroja yeah Tex was a genius . interesting thing with telecine tv projector!

  • XD XD XD XD XD LMAO!!!!!!! XD XD I LOVE 5:33-5:44 XD XD XD

  • after watching this episode 100 times, this never gets old

  • This is one of the most funnest cartoons ever.

  • @Mrvwcc11 nope, Mrvwcc11. This isn't the ONLY one. REPLY BACK, Mrvwcc11.

  • I saw this on Boomerang the other day and they edited out when he turns black and Chinese. Damn political correctness!

  • This Is Craaaaaaazzzzzzzzy Funny

  • Best fucking cartoon ever!

  • If you're easily butthurt by racial stereotypes, then you probably shouldn't watch this, amen brother

  • What got me was he kept right on singing, even though he was being humiliated by that wretched magician.

    Cool.

  • @cregrobert94

Yes, and I do believe your statement is less than accurate. In other words, You be wrong.

  • @cregrobert94

    Umm, yeah, ok... :-/

  • 30+ Scenes/Clips & Immediate CHANGES! The most humorous, To me is the Chinese OperaClip & ALL BURNED UP TO SOUND LIKE HIP-HOP, or RAP!

  • You got to hand it to that bulldog. He's a consumate professional. Despite everything that was going on he still finished the performance.

  • 2:22 - 2:27 shows how they can slip in a very adult gag into a kids cartoon, breeding like bunnies. ;-)

  • ROFLMFAO @ 5:33

  • I can watch 5:33-5:44 all day long

    Seriously what a riot!

  • @WegraX AGREED!!!!!!

  • I remember as a kid imitating that exact part all the time. XD

  • @WegraX agreed!!

  • Comment removed

  • This one old school cartoon beats out over 10 years of BS thats on TV now days

  • Who is the singer of part 5:09 and name the sing too?

  • They shouldn't have banned these cartoons. They are, like, TOO FUNNY!!!!! :))))

  • What haka is that (the Hawaiian part)

  • they just don't make cartoons like this anymore

  • I always used to love this cartoon as a kid because i just thought it was just SO random:)

  • southpark did mention something true that as kid you dont understand stereotypes, happened to me when i was a little kid and never noticed how racist this cartoon, was still laughed back then and now, we shouldnt takes so many things so serious there are many things worse

  • god i love this cartoon, plus i love the bit with the string that he plucks from the buttom of the screen

  • @Cuteblondie1972

Uhh I didn't like that part very much or the asian one but everything else is funny

  • 4:20 was the best part for me

  • I looked for this cartoon (unedited version) for years! thanks for posting.. I laughed so hard, it brought back the kid in me.. brilliant cartoon, down to the rabbits reproducing quickl behind his back.. haha as far as it being racial, hmmm i see a lot worse now on television cartoons.

  • It's very created after being pour with ink, he started to sing like the Inkspots.

  • Classic! I love this cartoon. Funny you can have all kinds of rap videos using the n word all over the place, but this cartoon is considered offensive by some...amazing

  • Strange. It was funnier when I saw it about fifteen years ago.

The most clever moment in this is when he pulled loose that "hair" that was caught in the lower left corner. I had noticed it and just thought it was an actual piece of lint or something caught in the film.

  • 5:52

    SO. PRICELESS.
