, I then fell down on my face for the first time ever and tried to pray as the Quran tells us to. Im sure I didnt pray exactly as the traditionalists would like but I did it as best I could, I cried to God to forgive me for forgetting him, for not knowing him, or worshipping him, and for associating others with him as I used to do. Yes, I have cried before and still do occasionally when reading the Quran. The first time I read it was when I was still a christian and I remember I was crying at one point thinking that these are the literal words of God, and then when I read the verse that said the christians will recognize this as the truth and tears will roll down their faces, which is exactly what I was doing, it made me feel so ashamed and embarrassed that I didnt know God before this,
