duff, izzy, slash etc are doing their thing but it has not been as broad ranging and experimental as what axl's been upto. those are the facts. Chinese Democracy offers everything from orchestral pieces to sizzling guitars to a flamenco flavor to hip hop loops. the album has sold 1.7 million copies in 7 weeks - that's no "joke". the album' received lot more positive reviews than negative ones.

I did not say he only played a couple of shows, I said a couple of good shows (meaning out of the whole tour) doesn't make him as good as he was. Also, experimenting is fine, but it doesn't mean that it's good music man.

The fact is Axl has had nowhere near the success that the other members (Steven Adler excluded) have had since the band broke up in the 90's. Chinese Democracy is OK, it's a rock album, not a Guns 'n' Roses album, enough said.

the album uses an interesting aesthetic whereby it touches upon the history of rock employing many different styles and genres. this includes industrial music but also beatles, pink floyd and queen type touches plus of course much of the already GNR cannon in the rockers and piano ballads.

"The True Guns" are dead, sorry to say that to you but its a fact, Axl said in a recent interview that either him or Slash would have to die before he reforms the old Guns and also he added that Slash is a cancer and blames Slash for the breakdown of the old band. fact is while axl owns the new Guns N Roses, all assets of old GNR (pre-95) are mutually owned by axl, slash & duff. they have NOT been denied any of the fruits of their labors. infact THEY sued axl in 2005 to strip axl of all ownership of the pre-94 music, merchandising! so much for the pretense of slash & duff being helpless victims!

axl chose the enormous challenge of rebuilding GNR &the risk of an uncertain future. that takes real guts.
