  • A friend of mine has a 1UZ in his s13 and another guy here in town has a VH45 in his. I love my CA18 in my 13 and I love but damn that V8 sound is sex coming from one of these cars. Doritos are neat to hear from these as well.

  • Can you post your corner weights? I assume not, most people "claim" that they haven't thrown off the cars original balance but they have no numbers to back it. Still, a cool swap, but you've ruined the ONLY advantage the 240SX had : weight balance. And, don't give me that crap about how alloy blocks weigh less than iron, iron blocks are made much thinner because they have more inherent strength which offsets the higher density...

    what were those corner weights again? U don't know? Nevermind.

  • ls1 + t56 is 10 lbs more than ka24 and 5spd.

    Thats peanuts and you get another gear. If you swap an rb the rb actually weighs more.

    Your forgetting a pushrod v-8 is very compact and efficient.

  • sb fords don't weight all that much more. The weight difference in the lsx between the iron and aluminum blocks is around 60lbs.

    If they used the t-5 behind the 5.0 it weighs less than than the t56 used with lsx.

    Go look up how heavy a RB is with all the jazz like turbos etc etc. I'd almost bet the 5.0 is still lighter.

  • With a 302 the weight ratio of a 240 sx is only slightly different than with a KA, stfu about the weight up front issue. With an ls1 you actually lose weight up front. Is it so hard to understand that just because the engine has larger displacement it doesn't have to weight tons more?

  • Good luck man, I have a mid 90's vette with an LT-1. Chevy and Nissan are the only companies that I trust. Nissan with the I4, I6, and V6, and Chevy with the V8's.
