I did. I had one teacher and one coach I felt had a thing for me. When I asked other people and explained specific moments, they were like "hell yea she's into you!" I do look older.
The coach wasn't discrete. She'd grab my wrists, swinging them side to side; she'd play w/the bottom of my shirt, twisting her fingers in the material; she'd play with my hair; at the end of a few discussions she'd get maybe 2 inches from my face, as if she was about to kiss me, before walking away; etc...

I love this movie, but as an authority figure who works with minors, I think that it's absolutely inappropriate for a teacher to have an intimate relationship with their student. Loving Annabelle is not about the promotion of teacher/student relationships, it's about the difficulties associated with being an in-the-closet lesbian in a hostile religious enviornment, as well as Simone's struggle with her immoral infatuation. In real life, it's wrong to put your teacher in a compromising position.

but Simone knows before that scene that Annabelle is gay. Annabelle told her about her first love who gave the beads to her and she told her that this first love was a girl.

I love this movie, but as an authority figure who works with minors, I think that it's absolutely inappropriate for a teacher to have an intimate relationship with their student. Loving Annabelle is not about the promotion of teacher/student relationships, it's about the difficulties associated with being an in-the-closet lesbian in a hostile religious enviornment, as well as Simone's struggle with her immoral infatuation. In real life, it's wrong to put your teacher in a compromising position.

Okay, first let me say I love this movie, I think its very real and truthful.
But this being my 10 millionth time seeing this scene, makes me begin to wonder... How old is the teacher in this movie again? and how old is annabelle? ... It's weird/gross to think if Annabelle is under 18 but I dont remember them saying her age....
