This is a lame imitation of a revolutionary sound. Page Cream etc took the blues and really worked into a new genre which of course spawned all sorts of heavy metal genres. Don't get me wrong, these guys put on a good show but the song is basically one riff, and the hook chorus/ refrain, Joker and the thief, is of course, a quote from All Along the Watchtower. A bad poet borrows and a good poet steals. This breakthrough song is laden with badly borrowed ideas, including smashing the gear.
