Cords are made up of hundreds of 'short' rubbers strands which are bound every few meters. The strand ends stick out at the bindings givng the frayed appearance. Over 150000 jumps at this site and only one incident. All future jumpers now know that you can surivie a broken cord at this site thanks to Erin. She is a living legend. Now is the time to jump. It always amazes me that "having a holiday in Africa" is marvelous as long as nothing happens and when something does suddenly it is a typical 3rd World country and what does everyone expect! I was in the U.K., a 1st world country, in 2005, when the bombs went off! Don't come here if you expect the worst to happen and hope that you are safe in your 1st world life!
