Well, we obviously now know that that's not going to happen. President Obama is not different that any other one, they offer the world when they want the power, once they have it they forget everything and everyone. I understand this country is in deep financial trouble, but if he was to do like he promised in 2008 maybe this wouldn't be happening right now. Anyone knows how much illegal inmigrants would be willing to pay to become legal in this country?
Look All That Can Boost This Economy Are The Immigrants, If they were legalized by them paying 5000$ This Country would Be RICH. 5000 X 12,000,000 = 60000000000$ IMAGINE THAT.
We need reasonable solutions for real problems; yes 12+ million Illegal Immigrants is a huge number and they are not going anywhere. deportation will not happen on a large scale. We either agree in making them legal contributors to our society or quit complaining about them.
I really hope he goes through with this. Im a 22 year old male who has been in this country for 20 years.... no one can tell me im not American... Im 100% american.... Please people support the Dream Act
I am the same way im 21 and have been living in the US since i was 3. I go to college in Chicago without any government aid . I cant drive or work legally and my dad must work twice as hard to put me through college. I hope Obama can make this happen for us :)
This is the beggining of the end of the Republican party. With the Latino vote Texas and its 35 electoral votes will be gone, Democrats should thank racist Republicans for having alienated Latinos forever.
I'm glad to hear President Obama finally speak on immigration. He must keep his word on CIR. In light of the economy, however, two "down payments" on the promise are in order, namely the DREAM Act and the AgJobs bill.

The racist Republicans have been excluding minorities for years ,the Latinos are just the latest group to be discriminated against.
