Do you have any lubrication in that mechanical setup? Might be an idea, you'd be getting lots of friction at that sort of speed.

The gear box really intrigued me. I have a similar idea. I'd like to see someone make a pedal machine connected to a generator...that uses a similar speed gearing system as you use for your model.

i have the crane truck 2...only i Removed much parts for other lego inventions like lego rubber band guns and oil derricks and like your drawbridge idea i made 1 too.

i also made a table-tennis balldecorater :)..

i really really like your creations...i actually built some of your ideas..

but anyway.. this is a very handy set it contains lots of gears and air pressure pump and all that kind...its super!

8421 Lego crane from 2004. And lego is far more compact than knex.

Lego is far more compact than K'nex. But both are fun for what they are. The K'nex construction sets make wonderful amusement sets which Lego couldn't ever make!!! Bill

I've been doing them everywhere from 4AM to 10AM... HA HA!!! Lots of the time it really depends on how late the night before I was working on a model... Sometimes I do all-nighters and will probably then do it around noon. I am doing this MODELINGBLOGDAILY with my morning coffee with the previous days project firm in my mind and with the days line-up of models kinda on the table. SO it is a cup of JOE with Bill and his rant... Hopefully you will be entertained and LEARN something... Bill
