Hi I think I might have found a church. It is a Cowboy Church
We're a young church, been meeting on Sundays for just over 3 years. We look forward to continued growth, and invite you to stop by. We are located at 570 Van Zandt County Road 2807, Mabank, Texas.
That was wonderful! Sing it for my Jesus! I'm 25 years old, and am a Church of God in Christ penticastol holiness organist. I love this old time way playing. I hope you can post something on a grand or baby grand or somethin.
Thank you for your compliments. However, I've never heard a Baptist Church do these hymns this upbeat!! I was raised Assembly of God, and we have always sang pretty much the same hymns as Baptists, but we sort of pepped them up a touch!!! LOL!!!
I go to a free will baptist church and i play drums for our praise band, and the first time we played this i played it in cut time by accident, and everyone liked the fast version better so we've played it that way ever since XD. this is my favorite hymn ever!
Oh yes how my soul rejoices as I listen to these songs I grew up singing and playing in church. There is wonderful working power in the precious blood of the Lamb. Thank you for doing such an excellent job on this...Sitting here dancin in my chair...Thank God for the sweet spirt that flows thru this music and song.. There is power, power, wonder working power in the blood of the lamb, oh yes there is..
No, I have not gone to church in about 12 years. I used to lead praise and worship from the keyboard for several churches back then, but I don't even attend, much less play. All of these churches have gone to ALL contemporary choruses, etc. and have completely abandoned the old stuff, and I absolutely hate that!
It is sad! People do fail us but God does not. Yr voice sounded nostalgic, love hymns, lyrics meaningful. I'm Asian saved by American missionaires 46 yrs ago. (AOG/Pentecostal)How abt two lines of yr song/notes for me?
I agree with you re the churches abandoning the hymns. A little background on the writer of this song....Lewis Edgar Jones wrote this in 1899...he was a classmate of evangelist Billy Sunday, attending Moody Bible and later worked for the YMCA in Texas, Iowa, & California...please record "When we all get to heaven", "There's power in the blood" and "Are you washed in the blood".....please don't leave your gift unused..from a brother in Sarasota FL
Do you have the sheet for this song? I kept watching your right hand and tried many times? Can you give me two lines of the melody in the way you play? I saw you sliding as well as rolling up and down but is it possible to write it for me just two lines the exact notes you play?
Yes, there is power in the blood! I have experienced it when i was only 15. I lay my hands on my chest and plead the power of Jesus and the fear left not only that leaving the room like as if it was bright. I believe in the POWER of His blood
Thanks, again!! Good ole Assembly of God style!! Plus, I grew up in TX & now live in TN. So I guess there's probably a whole combination of different styles in there! teee heee!!
Oh, my gosh!!! I knew I was getting old when I turned 40 in December, but this is the first time anyone has ever said that I remind them of their Paw Paw. LOL!! But thank you! I'm sure that was meant to be a compliment!
