@MissCelie1 I haven't noticed any staining! I think that's part of what the special toothpaste is for, so that they don't. I will say though that you can see the glue under your brackets since they're clear, and the glue is sort of a yellowish color, so that sucks. But I've also been told that my ortho used a bit too much glue, so it may be just me.
My Ortho. Says no wax it builds up plaque and u can't really get the wax fine layer off of ur brackets, and they didn't give me crap but their service is good their gentle and tell me wat there doing and explain I'm a first timer ha
@CRINGitON Getting the wires adjusted every 6 weeks isn't that bad. Yes, it hurts a bit. I usually take an advil for about 2 days after. And I eat softer things for a few days. It's definitely not excruciating though.
I got braces for the first time last Tuesday December 6th and it didn't hurt only the wiring did they don't feel that weird I'm only 15 I only have braces on the top because only my top teeth are crukid and I got my retainer on September 13 2011 and I still have it with my retainer btw my name is Kelly

i have had braces on for 7 years total. 2 years my first time and 5 my second time. i would have killed for 10 to 12 months! i had them all through high school and my first year in college. i'm almost 19 now and getting them off this tuesday! Just thought i would kind of share my story to you just so you know there are people around your age who still have braces!

@bridgette151 ; This will be my last year in High School. I can tell you this right now, there will be ALOT of drama! You'll also start to find out who your real friends are, well atleast I did.. People are also gonna want to dump you in the trashcan. Thankfully I didn't have to go through that lol. All I can tell you is enjoy your Freshman year while you can, cause once Sophomore year comes everything's gonna start moving by fast like lightning! :)
