  • So Foreigner won right? I didn't watch the end.

  • With the young girl screeching @1:15 and the image @1:20, is Justin Bieber today's Shaun Cassidy?

  • Debut artists from 1977 who weren't nominated: Elvis Costello, Talking Heads, Sex Pistols, Peter Gabriel. I guess they weren't talented enough to make the cut.

  • Oh my goodness has the world fallen. Take me back.

  • You should also look at the video of Crosby Stills and Nash (or is it Young) presenting the album of the year to Fleetwood Mac at the same awards show

(1977) 20th Grammy awards. Chanpara has that one as well.

  • Whew, Andy sure looked cute here. He had the sweetest and most sincere smile. Miss him!

  • what an awesome year !!

  • Yo man,

This is my favorite group of all time.

I hadn't even heard of them yet when this viode was shot.

    This skit is funny.

  • grammys are a joke! but they do put up a good show.

  • Foreigner didn't win? Wow.

  • Sean Cassidy was nominated for a Grammy?! AHHAHA

  • I think "On and On" by Stephen Bishop should have won.

    *storms out of room*

  • @dimpledick3inch No, she turned her life over to Jesus Christ, and she continues to sing Gospel music. She's sings great & is very gifted. I still have my 45 rpm for "You Light Up My Life". It became the most successful single of the 70s in the US, and it set a new Hot 100 record for longest reign at No.1. (Elvis's double-sided "Don't Be Cruel/Hound Dog", then recognized as the longest-running #1 of the Rock Era, spent 11 weeks atop the Billboard Best Sellers chart in 1956, before the Hot 100.)

  • One hit wonder? She went on to win Grammies in the gospel category, had success in the country field, performed in stage musicals and is still performing today. Her CD tribute to mother-in-law Rosemary Clooney drew rave reviews. All one-hit wonders should be so prolific. Keep up the great work, Debby

  • Booo! Shaun shoulda taken that award! (But notice he got the loudest applause!)

  • omg! i remember this , i was 10 years old and i can remeber how disappointed i was That Shaun Cassidy didnt win anything but i was also happy for Debby Boone.

  • They got it right - "God Knows" she still sings like an angel in 2010!

  • The members of Chicago must have had to put up a brave front that night.

  • I love this! Love Chicago!!

The holograms of the artists faces made me laugh hard.

Got to love the Yacht Rock music of some of the nominees.

  • Shaun Cassidy should have won. He was gorgeous....I love his tight white satin pants.

  • WOw..Shaun was a cutie pie..if he would be that age right now and be a teen idol..i surely would #$##) #@_$# bones p.d.q. lol hugs and thx for the vid - Jenni

  • OMG! gag me... Debbie Boone?! Just shows you how pathetic these nominations really are. We all now know that the artists with staying power that should have won this was Foreigner or even Stephen Bishop. Hell, even Shaun Cassidy deserved it more than her.

  • BTW, thanks for posting this...I love John Denver and I love Chicago!

  • 1977? Where was Terry Kath?

  • Dead already. This episode was broadcast in February 23, 1978, one month after that tragic event.

  • I'm sorry I was born June 3, 1978, what tragic event happened?

  • Terry Kath's accidental suicide, goes without saying. Which is a reason you don't see him among the members of Chicago.
