Well, Simon and Garfunkel did a cover of the song. The song is an ancient ballad originating at least from the 1500's about a real fair in the English town of Scarborough.
@RomulusAaron Though 1500s wouldn't be considered ancient by any means. And the refrain we're all familiar with only dates from the 18th or 19th centuries.
@RomulusAaron yeh its my home town the fair is still their now or at least a version of the fair on the sea front its actually quite small but it is really beautiful I sugguest if you ever visit england scarborough is worth traveling to its on of the most beautiful seaside town in England and Im not saying that because its my home town ^_^ its just I love the place :D
