I think that some of the people that say 'MCR saved my life' are being completely honest.. I also think that you have no right to go off saying that they have no problems and are whiny little emo girls who are just trying to fit in.

That is complete bullshit. I was severely depressed earlier this year, and I honestly think that I wouldn't have made it had I not had MCR or their music. Don't stereotype or categorize, because not every fan is some fucking little girl fawning over their looks.

yay~! I don't fit in your rant! I hated Miley Cyrus and the Jonas bros from the time they started, for the first 4 years that I listened to MCR, I couldn't even tell you their names! And MCR did save my life. I was suicidal and I almost killed myself several times, but then I heard about their story and looked into them even more. I listened to their music for years without it affecting me. Not all MCR fans are girly idiots with half a brain.

I think that the music inspires people to get better, not just the music but what MCR say in interviews to. I mean, I completly agree with what Frank from MCR says on the issue which is that they save themselves, and it's not the music. Also, as an MCR fan, you sort of get made to feel that your not a proper fan if they haven't "saved your life." But I completly agree that MCR's music does inspire lots of people to keep on living. More than other bands, although other bands do too.

I'm about to be 18, and My Chemical Romance has been my absolute favorite band from the time I was 11. I don't completely agree with your opinions on the band, but at the same time I'm not trying to disrespect it.

Every girl who listens to My Chemical Romance is not necessarily an 'emo fan girl', yes, I can admit that Gerard is a good looking man....But that is not the reason I listen to them, at all. I find their music to be inspiring and very, very well thought out.

I think its dumb when people say "we support mcr no matter what their next cd sounds like" cause thats not being a real fan at all. But seriously now, the other situation in which MCR really can save lives is when they donate to charities etc. But ask a fangirl how MCR saves lives and they'll never think of that. MCR makes good music (like every other band) but they really can't solve anyone's problems, and make them go away. That is mainly the reason I believe these fan girls are full of shit. Even if some had truth, it's overused and taken literal!
