Nice jack Dempsey I don't know about the best though check mine out he is imported directly from japan I know someone who got it for me when you look at the import and the domestic you can tell the difference big time

Don't know about the best, there are a lot of tanks like this on Youtube but it's a great looking setup. I really like the plants and substrate.

hey i hav a pair of juvenile electric blue's, and they seem to be a lot brighter... do they get darker as the get more mature or adults???

I had tiger barbs in with my Mbuna tank and they held their own. Tiger barbs are pretty stout for their size and plenty of character

@oakleys01 cool, try java fern and cryptos for easy going plants, all the males were brothers but all females i had were from different batches.

any idea how a cichlid will be with two baby turtles (texas and mississippi map) my guess is its a terrible idea. my turtles are small and wont get more than 5 inches, maybe smaller when full grown and i plan on getitng another baby turtle soon. 55 gal tank, very open, my vids show the tank and turtles. let me know, just an idea id like to throw a fish in there. thanks!

my brother has a Jack dempsey. his is almost that size. what other fish are goood to put with them besides other cichlids? i noticed u had some loachs and what looked like tiger barbs.

@maxima423 there was a l200 in there andthat was it but usually have ancistrus and siamensis to eat algae. no they didnt eat anything

hey, i have been looking at getting a EBJD for my cichlid tank. I previously had a Jack Dempsey but he got really mean and tore up my red-headed severum, so he had to go. Looking at this vid i can assume you have signifficant experience keeping both types of dempseys so my question is how much less aggressive are EBJD's compared to JD's?

the best? i dont know, but it really is a nice tank, i Currently have 3 gold severums, a green terror and 2 dempseys and want to add a blue dempsey but they are so expensive, I was wondering if i could mix tigerbarbs with my jacks and this video helped answer that question. great thank!

thanks, you could try and add some electric blue but have a spare tank ready to move him just in case as they are quite timid compared to the normal jd's and ive always had a shoal of tiger barbs in my cichlid tanks
