That's all a mess and unnecessary when there is only one input. This is an XLR mic at heart but has a condenser built into it

That's the XLR version. If you pay attention when he's taking the mic out, you see the 3 XLR prongs on the mic end. The USB version has a mini usb type b connector there.

It came with a standard A to B printer cord, no crappy MIDI or anything, just good ol' USB.

It's a studio mic, you're supposed to have your own bloody cables.
And it's 3-pin XLR that also requires phantom power, so you pretty much can't use it with just your PC.

You'll need a Mic to 6.3 mono jack cable.
..and an adaptor from 6.3mm to 3.5mm stereo jack.
...or just return it and buy the usb version. But it's a lil more expensive.
