Wuhan are the best chinas ever, period. I play a 20" regular Wuhan and it's amazing, check my video called "Afterimage" from Rush to hear it within a song. Hands down the perfect authentic China sound. I play Paiste cymbals since forever, but for Chinas... Wuhan are the best. Great vid BTW.

@HUdrummer They aren't made all that well but they easily destroy most of the chinas the more popular companies make if you're looking for an aggressive, trashy sound and they can't be beat for such little money. The low-level chinas of the likes of Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, etc. are too glassy, and the high quality ones are just too expensive. But that's just my opinion. They lie a lot when it comes to claiming their cymbals are 'hand-hammered' and all that anyways.

@CJSeraphimCallis You will get a flat black one. It's the only type of Black finish Wuhan currently offers. Wuhan did offer a Shinny High gloss Black China over 1 year ago. There was some kind of problem with the application process and Wuhan quickly discontinued them. My Wuhan rep told me this past Friday that the company they use to apply the Black finish to the China's has come up with a way to use a shinny finish again, but they have not started doing that yet. Flat black is it for now....T

@glitchhacker101 I would have to go with the uncolored one. The Coloring process does take away from the high end just a bit, Not enough to be noticed if your banging out some metal that's for sure. Asthetically I love the look of nice shiney polished bronze. The black looks cool especially with the wihte Wuhan logo, it really stands out. If I could swing it I'd have 2 black china's facing foward so the audience could see them and the logo's just for looks I wouldn't play them at all.......... T

As for the Agazarians, Guitar Center must have them cheap out on these things when their made so save a few pennys, because my 14"Agazarian compared to an older Wuhan sounds like shit. Not worth the 45 minutes it took for me to get the cymbal off the display (they were going to be out of stock for like 2 weeks, so that was my only choice) because of the high school dropouts they had working.

Purchasing Cymbals from a factory in China, especially a large order can be very inexpensive. GC decided to drop Wuhan from their stores ( but not online) because they can make more money by selling Agies. T.

I absolutely love Meinl cymbals, they are a very under rated brand for their sound; and with such artists as Chris Adler, Benny Greb, Jason Bittner, Blake Fleming, Alex Lopez, and many many more big name drummers, of varying music genres (Adler and Greb are two of which i would consider to be the leaders of their genres) its hard to deny what they have going for them. From what ive seen, Meinl works with the artists to create the exact sound they want, i say go for it!

@Ryoubreathingnow Well it's just not that simple, but we are considering carrying them anyway. I too like Meinl and I also think they are an underated brand. I always felt Meinl's should be priced a little more aggresively, they are generally just as expensive as the BIG3. However they are easily on par with the BIG3 in terms of quality and sound. The one Meinl Video we have is of their MB20 series it's a med/Hvy 16" crash, great Cymbal. T.

@ILDUCE61 Heh, yeah i subscribed a while ago, i currently still own the 18" uncoated, its got a pie slice (think of a pizza with one slice pulled out of it) that broke off with time, but for the price you cant beat them (and i got mine bran-spankin-new for $20, it was one heck of a steel). It seems to me the coated one doesnt have quite the explosion as the uncoated; but still an interesting cymbal none the less.

You can definitely notice the Cymbal vibration is noticably longer in the regular China than the Black one. @ILDUCE61 I've been doing well for the most part. Thank you :) I agree with you. The paint must cut off a bit of the decay. That's a very good way to look at cymbal sounds. I picked up a pack of Agazarian 13" hats and a 16" crash on Black Friday, just because I've been wanting a crash with some really trashy overtones for some reason. I just finished making the crash into an ozone cymbal, I'll have to see if I want to put it on my kit soon. Haha yeah I imagine that's a big relief.
