  • i wanted to upload this video but i see is already on i am glad the someone else love this man!! million of stars...

  • I like his version better than the original. What an artist!

  • one of the greats, learn his story if you dont already know.

  • When I want to be transported, this is what I listen to.

  • Very nice. Could do without the interview at the end though. But it is all about Mr. Scott. Kudos.

  • Very nice.

  • Ferry wonderfulGrazie, Mr.Scott!

  • goosebumps everytime.

  • no vibrato? please turn audio on.

  • .... <3

  • Wow, what power! Great version by Jimmy Scott, thanks for posting!

  • What a marvelous version!!!! His voice, the way he interprets the lyrics, the no vibrato - learnt from Miles - all of them give this song an unique blend!!! What Bryan Ferry swings, Jimmy Scott slows, the two of them wonderfully!!!

  • WOW!

  • Thanks for sharing! I saw this on PBS and had no idea who Jimmy was --I went from asking myself "That's a rather odd delivery" to thoroughly enjoying the idiosyncrasy and finding it magical. Next day I bought "Holding Back the Years".

  • What an Angelic Voice, and a beautiful &

powerful message this song brings- it

fills my Heart and my eyes with tears.

For ALL of us who are, or have been in

    LOVE.... Jimmy Scott's wonderous voice-

    Simply Magical, thanks for Posting!!!

    Best, Marcie B. Great Interview!!!!!

  • "Now, spring is turning your face to mine" and the smiles of yesterday burn a flame, as I am truly a slave to love thanks to you beautiful Jimmy Scott. NOW.

  • "I'll be there in the usual place" is that empty part of your heart when the curtains have fallen, the lights are out in the place, the ice cubes have melted and all the smoke that hung heavy has disappeared into the rare burning sky and sadness pervades every pore of your beat up bebop heart, it's over. Too young is even too old to give up.

  • -This song is extremely beautiful... magnificent Who is the composer?

-How can this singer at this age maintain a teenage timbrical youth in his voice? this is phenomenal

  • He is an endochrinological castrato, the way Radu Marian or Michael Maniaci. He just happens to sing jazz/blues instead of opera.

  • Beautiful song indeed!

The timbre of his voice is due to the fact that he was born with Kallmann's Syndrome. This caused him to never actually reach puberty.

  • This song was composed by Bryan Ferry. He recorded & released the original version on his 1985 album, "Boys & Girls".

  • What a great talent.
