  • Awesome job!

Great song, performance and a beautiful setting never hurts.

  • Thank you very much.

  • beautiful

  • Thanks.

  • Love ukes and absolutely love Paris. Perfect combo! Wish I was there!

  • Thanks.

  • haha i love to see GOOD covers of rock songs on the uke, and you have done so. I respect you Ken a great deal now

  • Thank you.

  • Great playin' rythm & pickin' and singin' in the breeze, and city traffic.

  • Nice spot to play though.

  • what a great spot to sit down and play! Sterling video as ever!

I've thought about your advice and will wait until I can afford a nice bit of solid wood. I didn't cut corners when I bought my guitar and the uke deserves the same respect.

I've seen a nice solid top Ohana concert and a lovely totally solid Kala for similar money so i'll go and see Paul when i've saved some more cash.

  • Sensible decision.

  • probably not, I'm afraid.

  • Very nice! Love the setting! Too bad noise is often a problem with outdoor videos!

  • Yes, I didn't realise how bad it was when I recorded it.

  • Beautiful spot, beautiful song, beautiful uke, together on a beautiful day... you're a lucky man!

  • Thanks DJ. I'm blessed.

  • Nice One Ken: Love that song

BTW - have you revealed yet how much you collected from the bye passers that day?

  • It was a quiet spot. Pickings were slim.

  • What a beautiful place to record a song!

  • I couldn't resist recording something, Mary-Anne.

  • Hi Ken, nice one (I'm going to have an Uke soon ;-))

    Val

  • Can't wait to hear what you will record.

  • I'll have to work a little bit before thinking of recording ;-)

    (can't wait to have it...)

    Val

  • Beautiful.

  • Thanks.

  • love this song nice version ken take care ken

  • Thanks.

  • Ken Middleton does Dylan on the Seine.

    Epic!

    Love it!

  • Hi Shas.

  • Thank you for sharing the music and the view. The sounds of being out doors was part of the charm :-)

  • Thanks. I like playing outdoors.

  • Banks of the Seine in Paris.......Now that's a class act. Very Nice video. Thanks for taking the time to make this video it's so relaxing and your cover is awesome.

  • Thank you very much.

  • Ken, I love this rendition! And, the setting is so pretty!

  • Thanks. It was a beautiful place to record.

  • better that the original!!! Very nice.

  • I'm not sure about that, but thanks.

  • u know i hate g&g but i can listen to this way to make it yours man!

  • Thanks.

  • Thanks Caroline.

  • Excellenté. I love the uke - it makes a very sweet noise.

  • Yes it a nice one to play. It's not mine though.

  • Just beautiful!!

  • Thanks.

  • Excellent. One of my fav songs you do, in a beautiful setting. No need to apologize for a noise that we're all used too... I think we automatically tune it out and hear the awesome playing and singing.

  • It's strange. When you're walking along the river you don't actually notice the traffic noise.

  • Beautiful setting, looks like your having a good summer!

  • An interesting Summer, HH.

  • Yes. Thanks very much.

  • There is magic in a street performance. The world is your backing band. Love this, Ken!

  • Interesting comment. Thanks Don.

  • you looked relaxed and having a good time playing in a beautiful setting bathed in warm sun. What might one do in a similar aural situation with noisy cars? Would you use a pick up directly connected to a recorder? Less spontaneous of course...

  • All I had was my little snapshot camera. It seemed quiet 'cause I couldn't actually SEE the cars.

  • That song sounds so good on uke and you do it so well. I wonder if you ran the audio through a parametric eq, you might be able to notch a good bit of that noise out? Sounds like it's mostly in the upper frequencies.

  • I tried that Darrell. when I tried to cut out the car noise, it took most of the vocals and ukulele as well. So I left it alone.

  • I may try again though.

  • wonderful performance.

  • Thanks Stephen. I know that you like hymns. Have you seen my latest video on my guitar channel?

  • nope going to right now !

  • You know, when you're in a setting like that, it doesn't matter if the sound is perfect! It sounded great to me, and what a great way to share some of your trip with us! So lovely!

  • Thanks Michelle. I am very blessed to be able see such beautiful places.

  • Some folks might think you are already in heaven! Heavenly version. You are a good player to be able to make it sound so good under the conditions of noise and heat.

  • Thanks very much WD. I appreciate the comment.

  • Such a beautiful setting and a wonderful performance.

  • Thank you, Deach.
