  • Also you will get more Frames without v-sync. Vsync is only used to lower FPS if it exceeds the monitors refresh rate causing tears in textures. Also I forgot to mention I did get it working on warhead 4AA at 30-40FPS but it meant maxing out the FAN which was a bitch :(

  • JFAC rock dude ;)

  • Nice , Very Playable!

  • I have a

    ATX-700Watt PSU

    Asus P5KC

    4GB DDR2 (800Mhz)

    Sapphire 4870x2

    Vista 32Bit

And I only get 27FPS on 1680x1050 with no AA.

  • That's because you're running Vista 32bit, you need 64bit in order for Vista to fully utulize your 4GB of ram. 32Bit can only use 3GB of ram max.

  • That is not the problem

  • no 32-bit can only use 4gb ram but thats with GFX too so it subtracks the gfx ram and then u'll get 3gb ;)

  • Which processor do you have

  • I dont have the 4870x2 anymore it really required a high end quad core or an core 2 extreme. I was getting artifacts in all of my other games my core 2 duo E8400 couldnt handle the dual GPU in 1 card. Ive got a GTX 280 now and its working wonders but thanks for your concern :)

  • You better could get a Quad core the 4870 X2 is faster then a 280 but if it is working now then it's also good it would have been cheaper to buy a quad core and future proof

  • i hat this game. SORRY! This is my opinion (sry fo my english im hungarian :DD)

  • Yea the game sucks, I only use it if I get new Hardware, cuz when I can run this game on Max I can run nearly every game on Max ^^

  • yea it's a good idea :)

  • Yea I mean it's the best Benchmark, I find 3dMark pretty fail because I kinda have less FPS in 3dmark06 then in Crysis on Max? Lol.

  • *i hate this game :DD

  • I'll be getting one of those cards soon. I can't wait as that framerate is certainly looking good. My specs are identical to yours (including the overclocked Q6600) except that I have 4GB of OCZ DDR3 RAM @1303Mhz and I have all Asus parts so I'll be getting an EAHD4870X2.

  • I've even changed from Vista Home Premium 32bit to Vista Ultimate 64bit hoping that would change but still no luck (when i installed Ultimate on my C drive i have 2 copies of windows files, one says 'old') might this be causing it, or could it be my motherboard, because i've already changed the card 3 times and also changed the make thinking it was a faulty HD4870x2

    Can someone help

  • specs:

    Windows Ultimate 64bit (SP1)

    Asus Rampage Formula

    Gigbyte HD4870x2

    Q6600 @3.0Ghz

    3Gb Ram (standard 667Mhz)

    Zalman PSU 750w

    Raidmax Sirius system case

On Crysis, using the optimal settings the graphic settings are set to high, but using my old 8800GT the settings were set to Very High.

Even on Settlers: Rise of a empire with the settings maxed and res at 1680x1050 fsp are no more than 30-35, and Bioshock is about 35-40 fps. On crysis i am getting about 5 extra fps

  • Make sure you have AI turned on in CCC.

Your RAM ain't the best either.

  • Hey im going to steal HD4870x2 But idk if it is worth the hard work!!

lol :P Joke I mean buy!

Can you make a crysis video on 1280x1024 - Very High no AA + 2xAA + 4xAA + 8xAA and then 16xAA in a one vid!!! Cus im getting HD4870x2

    Thanks :))

  • Don't bother, you'll only get a frame (maybe two) more per second.

  • please someone help me. I am spding 1600 dollars on a cyberpower pc and its a 2.80 cpu intel and the graphic cards are two nvidias 9800gtx+ is that good for crysis? cause i want a graphic card that could play crysis with no lagg at average 60 fps. and its ram is 4gs, my computers ram.... or future computer. please send me a message.

  • 60fps average in crysis? lol

    yea on medium settings

  • Lol Crysis has been developed on 1 9800GX2.

  • hey man what should i get since i dont overclock e8400 or q6600 stock?

  • is this a good card to trade in for my 8600gt? it broke down, my specs are a e6750, 4gb 600mhz, and ofcourse the 8600gt.. 1000 watts.. is this good to add this card to? cuz i want to be able to play gta iv when it comes out..

  • ehm, it's the best card out there right now... i recommend you to upgrade your processor to a e8500 or e8600...1000 watt psu is plenty of watts for a hd4870x2 (maybe even enough for 2 of them!)4gb ddr2 ram@600 mhz might be slow...

    sorry for my bad english!

  • cant wait to get my new comp in about a month, and play it on this high of quality.

  • how hot does it get when overclocked that much and with a 4870x2?

  • that much quality???

and it seems you're getting a very high FPS average...!!!

FFS!!! and I can't even play combat arms with that smoothness.

btw how much frames per second are you actually getting there?

and how much did you spend in your pc totally?

  • Average FPS is around 35. I have no idea how much i have spent as i am constantly changing things.. but as a rough estimate i would have to say around $2000 australian. Full specs as it stands : Abit iX38-QuadGT Mobo Intell Q6600 running @ 3.4Ghz Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme cooler 4 Gig Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 @ 850 Vista Home Premium 64bit Samsung 300Gig SATA2 drive Cybersport 1000W PSU cheers
  • if my specs are

    -q9550

    -4gigs 1600 ddr3

    - raptor 150 10000 rpm

    -asus striker extreme crossfire supported

    -750 corsair psu

    64 bit vista ulimate

would i be able to play this on a 37 inch sharp 1080p tv?

  • I think it should be ok. But you may have to turn off AA and Vsync

    cheers

  • Looking good! I'm getting this card in like 5 days :D Will also do some crysis videos, but i have a question: What free program is good to record in game with? I really need to know, thanks!

  • Xfire does veryhigh quality videos in game but you dont get the menu and loading screen.

  • why not fraps is xfire betteR?

  • well xfire has no time limit on how long u record. but for both you will loose alot of fps. i know for somegames i get 1/3 the fps with either running.

  • what is the cost of two 4870x2 with crossfire?? good vid

  • Two will cost about $1200 if u have a supporting motherboard.

  • very very good men ^^ love this card, love this game ! but 1920x1200 AA8X ^^ average 29.6 FPS ! with E6850 3Ghz lol !

  • do you think it would work with a Phenom 9600 on 2,3 GhZ, 2GB DDR2 800 RAM and an 4870X2 Graphics card like in the video?

  • 2gb of ddr2 800 will not go well for this game, i had it, it was ok but i'd deffinately say get more. I now have 4gb of 1066.

  • ???its not even using 1.7gb

dont recommend usless things to ppl and btw u didnt even tell him to get os 64bit or else he will only be able to use 3.5...

  • I am not recommending useless things to people, myself and MANY others have noticed a difference in having more ram in crysis. YOU DEFFINATELY get less stutter and loading times aren't as long. Try it one day you may see it too. Oh and i didnt have to tell him to get 64bit as i didnt tell him to get 4gb now did i? Theres a difference in going 3gb. So why don't you stop posting useless bs and stop saying things don't make a difference just to back up what you most likely have.

  • i have 4gb's 1066 ram 4-4-5-21

and xp 64bit and i never saw on any game or prgram goin over 1.7 and 1.7 wasnt even crysis was playing online world in conflict... so instead of telling me to try and other shit like this

  • You told me don't recommend useless things, i aint. 4gb does smooth out crysis but you won't have it. It may just be your system then, because i know many people who say 4gb lowered the stuttering over having 2gb, i experienced it myself. So ok i won't recommend useless things. Hmm that means carry on the way im going now.

  • FPS average?

  • hey how big is ur monitor?

  • Damn it...79C high? My X1800 runs at 85 for 2 years now, and its hella weaker...what do you call that then?

  • HD4870X2 still owns 2 GTX280's in SLI... Would you pay about $800 for TWO 280's and still get pwned?

  • is a high framerate good?

  • gah i am gonna keep my mouth shut.

  • LOL

  • 16xAF on or of ?

  • my next graphics card will be this one but two times!!!

  • Holy shit, that's pretty nice O_O

  • How many fps do you get, i have a 8800gt and the first two missions i get about 20-30 with a mod, but half way through the game it drops down to 13fps with my q6600 cpu overheating at 53-59C on all 4 cores!

  • My frame rate fluctuates anywhere between 24 to 50.

  • lol sorry im noob.

  • Everyone was a noob once.

  • Ur not the only theres milions of them!

  • super rig man, amd i was waiting for them to correct their mistake, maybe next time the cards wont be too hot. hey can i know wats the temps of that monster

  • i am not concerned with temps... not looking at overclocking.. doesn't need it.

But when i had a brief look i think it was sitting on 79 .

  • AMD always know what they are making, even if its hot, it wont be giving overheating issues like 8800gt. LOVE your rig man, really want to steal it :}

  • does the q9650 beat the q6600 for power in gaming.

  • getting mine in 4 days i cant wait!!!

  • i just got rid of my 9800GX2 and i can vouch that this card is much better..

  • shuld i get the 4870x2 or 9800gx2. what shuld i get!!!! also whats the best quad core on the market. thanks.

  • 4870X2 is like almost twice the power of the GX2. Get the Q9650.

  • What about 1900x1200?

  • Thanks guys... i'm gonna post another video today, hopefully much beter quality and with framerates... Any suggestions as to what capture program to use ? FRAPS slows things down too much.

    cheers

  • hey i think you should make it really high quality and use the console to show the fps and keep the camera on the fps counter thing.

  • Just have a look at my other video..

  • you my friend have a true beast in ur computer. Wicked crazy man.

  • so smooth and looks like pure hd

  • :O :O

  • Next time you make a video like this be sure to have some kind of frame rate counter like FRAPS.

    Pretty cool video.

  • hey man i got a new comp the other day, its got 4gb of ram 3.0 ghz duo processer thing, and its got the nvidia 8500gt with 1.9gb on board memory.... do you think it will be able to run crysis well?

  • 8500gt, nope...it won't run it well but you can run it at medium i think, maybe something on high. no idea, but not well.

  • well do u mean it will be able to run it on medium pretty smoothly? if so it will still look pretty mad yueah?

  • Oh man I dont no what to say. When I was a n00b I bought an 8500gt thinking it would run Crysis on very high.

I played Crysis on low at 800*600 and it was still lagging.

8500GT is not a gaming card at all in fact a 7600GT will beat it by a small margin. 8500GT is meant for watching High Definition content like Blu ray/HDDVD on a Media center PC.

Dont think just coz the rest of your rig is solid youll get a good performance coz you wont. Get Rid of the 8500gt asap and go high end. 4850

  • Sapphire.HD4870x2.Crysis.VeryHigh.Gameplay.TS-YouTUBE

  • dont know if quad xfire is useful. i think most games dont support it. but nevertheless nice card!

is it annoying loud when running @ full speed?

  • to be honest, it never runs 100% during gameplay... not as loud as what people make it out to be.

Besides, i usually turn up volume anyway..

    cheers

  • Yeah... i'm really happy with it.

I'm actually going to get another one when prices drop and run quad xfire

  • yeah quad xfire or just wait for hybrid with 5870x2

  • 5870x2? They announced it already?

  • maybe in a nearly nearly future ;)

  • great card!! amazing!!
