I'm a samus main... I don't care if they are from japan, Samus has nearly limitless potential when it comes to combos. A real samus player goes both close and long range. I admit the blowback effect of the missle is tempting, but there are better options at times. Also, when playing with Samus, NEVER purposely stay near the edge. Samus is mid-light weight, so she goes flying quite a ways. Her power bomb/ grapple beam/ Screw attack/ wall jump combo make for beautiful recoveries...

aerials are not considered spam, like marth forward air, and on tournaments, spam is not prohibited either... Depends on the attack is not prohibited like Counter-attack or Link's dair. but metaknight tornado, its prohibited

A good player knows how to utilize both the long-ranged and formidable melee capabilities of Samus's arsenal, which not only keeps the decay of all attacks to a minimum, but makes the player less predictable. Samus has a million different moves that could have been put to use but were not because the player insisted on spamming the grapple beam and missle like an idiot. As you see, this player lost due to incompetence.

Samus has strong range atacks but I also like to fight at close range. Rush in, fire a missle to stun my foe, folow up with a spin kick, a screw atack, and finish the combo with another missle. If my oponets start closing in I can still defend my self without missles and my chadged shot.

This is the correct summation. The Samus player in this video has fine execution on missile canceling and z-air (grapplepoke), but is lacking in accuracy and ranging of those attacks, and does not exploit bomb floating at all. There were plenty of times when a bomb float would have saved him eating a mortar round. A B- Samus player by my rating.

It's called short hopping. You press the jump for a very short amount of time to do a shorter jump than normal. It's a commonly used strategy.

It's not hard hard you press the button/direction but rather how quick you press and let go of it. You have to do it in lik 2 miliseconds lol (0.2 seconds). Not exactly sure.

I find it easier usinf the jump botton rather than the control stick, yet I use the Wii 'mote and numchuck control setting.

Samus lost her versatility in Brawl as to Melee. Zair is Samus's best move. Just like how it is Link's. Samus and Link's advanced play is like that but for the most part they don't make it to the advanced play because they're near the bottom tiers.

It is right "of all". Snake is of a higher tier than Samus. If Snake is DECIDING to do what move and when that gets him destroyed by Samus, then clearly Snake was not playing at equal skill of Samus (making a point that has nothing to do with what I was talking about).

Do your running dash attack with the C-stick, and then do your up smash immediately by pressing up+Z. That's by far the easiest method, and the only way I can do it; using the C-stick and Z makes it super easy, though.

Was that realy an online match? It played way so smoothly. There didn't seem to be any lag at all. I know replaying a saved match from online smooths out the "bumps" but he was shown on the online waiting room so this couldn't have been recorded via the wii. Does the japanese brawl get better connections?

Maybe they live close to eachother, and have really good internet connections. When I online with my one friend, there is pretty much never any lag. With my other friends, though, it lags sometimes.
