First, the many transitional fossils (don't start with the whole "there are none" argument, there are many). Human chromosome #2's vestigial telomere is a simple example of genetic proof. For a more complicated example, research Endogenous Retroviruses.

Sorry about that. Maybe one day, you can fix that problem. It is kind of like athlete's foot though... you have to keep treating it. Try a good does of reality, some education (history would do fine), and maybe talk to those who have been hurt by it... for life. If that doesn't work, there is always psychological counseling... maybe Scientology (although I personally would not recommend it). I hear the Hare Krishnas have cured a few, but the haircuts suck, and you have to play a drum and dance.

If he didn't want sin, if he would have actually wanted the world to be good, he would never have allowed satan or the snake to have excisted, because as an omnipotent being he should have seen the outcome: a world full of suffering. If God wouldn't like this world he would have done things differently. Your God made this world. He made suffering and even likes it, or else it wouldn't be here... I think your God must be quite cruel then.

To be specific, Noah was (supposedly, of course) commanded by God to put two of every type of animal on the ark, not every species. If you would read Charles Darwin's "The Origin of Species," he explains that making the distinction between a species and a variety is difficult and requires much observation of different genera under different conditions to determine differing species. I'll continue this in the next post.

So it's safe to assume that by "type" God intended to refer to what we would consider today to be the Genus, the Family, or at the very least, the Order, although I would doubt the latter. However, I attest that it would probably be impossible for an ark that large to float for a year's time.

I still don't get it. WHY do many of you believe??? comfort? hope? maybe good reasons, maybe just illusions you blind yourselves with. However, if that can give you strenght, it's fine by me. But then the next question arrises: why the Christian God? He's supposed to be omnipotent and Good... why then don't we live in a Good world? Innocents are suffering daily. I used "she" as a counterbalance rather than a statement. The modern understanding of God is that it's genderless, but the nature of the English language suggests that "it" is a thing rather than a person. Of course, such nuances are lost on most Christians who are deeply convinced that God is indeed a male.
