The Veyron never had the fastest top speed of a road legal car until the SS came out, search for the Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette it reached 254.7 mph back in 1988, the Veyron has officially a top speed of 253 mph. The Callaway Sledgehammer Corvettes were made to order if you wanted one so maybe not a true production car, but I wouldn't really call the Veyron a production car either.

The hennsey venom 1000 beat this car and the super sport, the venom Gt did 0-60 in 2.9 , 0-124 in 7 flat , 0-186 in 14.8 seconds and tops 272 . enuff said. the high end version with the Tt v8 does 0-60 in 2.4 hennsey wont tell its top speed. but i bet its near 280

@dddjjf ::::::)))))) the Hennsey Venom has a top speed of 220 mph as of right now.they are trying to add more power to it but if they want to go 20mph faster they have to try and add about 400 more horse power.the ratio of a couple of mile per hour to horse power is really hard to obtain without adding weight to the car.But Dodge is going to prove them selves and this car or the one they have hidden from the consumers eye that might come out in late 2013 should hit 300mph.
