the cover system is revolutionary. i cant describe the first feeling i got when i first started playing the games. The controls were perfect and you were able to drop in and out of cover in ease and even from a distance you can still take cover and roll and sprint with just one button. the controls were amazing. many games try to replicate it but fail.
This game is awesome, the graphics are not as good as Resident Evil 5 but the story and the co-op mode are well made. This game definetly deserves a movie but a CGI movie like Resident Evil degeneration

On R1 im on chapter 3 (from memory) and in GOW 1 im on Chapter 4 (im gonna finish Mass Effect then maybe finish GOW but next week im gettin' Mass Effect 2 CE).

How the hell can MGS4 be better than GOW's Gameplay? Like I said, MGS4 had a good chunk of CUTSCENE, while GOW gave you the good stuff, the actual GAMEPLAY.
A game isn't supposed to be rated on STORY or CUTSCENE LENGTH, it's supposed to be rated on GAMEPLAY, the reason any human by a GAME. And you can't deny that if they had replaced the gameplay with script, the game would have been a good movie. It was just too much Cutscene.

since the day storyline we're introduced. listen would you watch an action movie we're everything is getting blown up and you don't know why because there's no story, no you wouldn't. a story for a game is more than just icing on the cake, lets take Gears here if they didn't bother to give you a story and they make the sequel the same no story would you pay $59.99 just to do the same things from Gears 1

fact is, mgs4 was good but there was too much story. If there is any game that could have 45-50% story, and still be a hit, its MGS4, but that still doesn't mean it should continue happening. If you've played UT2004, it had crap story ( if you could even say that UT2004 had any story plot), yet it was still considered a very good FPS by many. Also, Game mechanics and story are two different things

Halo 3 vs Gears of War? this is just so unnesesary! You don't have to compare games with each other. No REAL Gamer does that, Gears of War is a masterpiece a 10/10 and Halo 3 is a Masterpiece a 10/10! They are both great games.
I agree with both of them being great games, but they both do so in their own ways.
Halo 3 has massive firefights with a shitload of enemies with guns blazing, and Gears of War has intelligent AI, the NEED to hide behind cover and gory executions. It's all a matter of personal preference.

since the day storyline we're introduced. listen would you watch an action movie we're everything is getting blown up and you don't know why because there's no story, no you wouldn't. a story for a game is more than just icing on the cake, lets take Gears here if they didn't bother to give you a story and they make the sequel the same no story would you pay $59.99 just to do the same things from Gears 1

fact is, mgs4 was good but there was too much story. If there is any game that could have 45-50% story, and still be a hit, its MGS4, but that still doesn't mean it should continue happening. If you've played UT2004, it had crap story ( if you could even say that UT2004 had any story plot), yet it was still considered a very good FPS by many. Also, Game mechanics and story are two different things

well hope it does have a story i'm more excited for Resistance 2 with better graphics than Resistance 1 and could give Gears 2 a run for it's money in graphics department but honestly Gears needs better futuristic guns

Gameplay + visuals....z storyline is worth gettin in2 as well, i aint no fanboy but this game is mindblowin. Esp if u play thru it in casual mode n zen get crackin on on hardcore, its like a brand new experience on each difficulty settin. Definitely lookin 4ward 2 z 2nd installment.

you know Gears is awesome love the gore but i would have liked seeing more future weapons but the chainsaw gun is awesome but if this game wasn't in the future i would have liked the guns but it's not and it's really grey in a good way but Gears 2 need a new feel and atmosphere and locations if they hope the score big on Gears 2 since Resistance 2 is looking better every time they realise new details

GoW. Assassin's Creed is great visually, has this big cities to explore, but it gets REALLY boring after a couple of hours. Gears of Wars is just continuous, non-stop fun.

Halo 3 vs Gears of War? this is just so unnesesary! You don't have to compare games with each other. No REAL Gamer does that, Gears of War is a masterpiece a 10/10 and Halo 3 is a Masterpiece a 10/10! They are both great games.

I agree with both of them being great games, but they both do so in their own ways.
Halo 3 has massive firefights with a shitload of enemies with guns blazing, and Gears of War has intelligent AI, the NEED to hide behind cover and gory executions. It's all a matter of personal preference.
