  • Can you please move the banner from where it is right now. I can't see.

  • I take 5-HTP once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening. That's a total of 150 milligrams per day. The maximum amount you should take per day is 200 milligrams. I take it because it improves my mood and makes me significantly less anxious. I have to take it so frequently because I can actually feel a difference in my mood and anxiety level when I miss a dose. 5-HTP doesn't make me terribly sleepy. However, it can make me zone out from time to time. Hope this is helpful.

  • you're beautiful :)

  • very informative thank you........will marry me?

  • i found 5htp best to be taken in the morning. Night time made it very difficult to wake up in the morning. I would be so groggy. Also, I didn't need to take it every day. The effects last a few days so i took it mon, wed, and frid 50mg. Taking it every day was over the top and dropped appeite down to unhealthy level

  • Hi Brenda, i have a question.....can you take it, if you had cancer and taking medicaments?

  • Hi brenda, after taking the htp at night a few times hen should you start taking them on a daily basis? in the morning?

  • Wow! She is hot! I'm going to start taking 5-HTP just because she says that it is good for you!

  • I just started taking this but have been hearing that you should not take it every night. How do you take it? Please answer! You have been such a inspiration to me!

  • @leansecrets. I have been reading on online about some side effects of 5htp.Can you do a vid about the pros and cons of 5 htp

  • valerian, meletonin, and kava kava didnt work for me. i dont wanna rely on xanax to get me to sleep. i was told to try this crapola and im praying it works. i heard it may take up to 2 weeks to kick in. i just wanna sleep. btw you're smokin hot.

  • would taking 5htp with melatonin be overkill??

  • Wow, you blow me away with your beauty, not only physically but on all levels...bless you

  • @Charger2686 where did u see her beauty on other levels, i wonder?!

  • ive been watching you for a while now and lost 10 pounds thank you soo much your the best !!

  • GIRLL! You did not just! You just said since the 5htp can make you feel groggy and sleepy, you should take it at night time and have a small snack with it like.. FRUIT or something.

Fruit has natural sugars in it, some more than others, so if taking 5htp at night with a small snack fruit is not worthy of!! :)

You taught me well lady :P

  • Definitely marriage material.

  • You are so f***ing gorgeous.

  • You should mention that you can't use 5-HTP on a continual bases. You need to get on a cycle when using this amino acid. 5-HTP basically depletes your dopamine when you use it for long periods of time.

  • @windex1234 how is that? The two are completely different transmitters.

  • @SRNF Of course ...I never said otherwise. 5htp influence levels and disrupts your natural resource if taken for too long without breaks. Anyways good video !

  • @windex1234 you said dopamine...there is no correlation. So you did say otherwise.

  • you're awesome! is it good for anxiety? I took SAM-e for a while caused anxiety attacks, time to switch...

  • im a doctor and i have to disagree with you on just 1 comment...doctors dont make money on prescription medications that is a huge misconception!

  • wow, so buying this!

  • hi ,

Ive been taking 5htp pills, but stopped taking it because i had very very bad anxiety. I took 1 100mg enteric coated pills every night before sleeping. I started beginning to thing that people were hiding in my closet or people were coming after me . Is there a reason for this? Am I taking too much or to little?does it come in any other forms? thank you

  • Insufficient Evidence for:Alzheimer's disease. Early studies suggest that 5-HTP doesn’t help symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.Anxiety. There is some evidence suggesting that 5-HTP might reduce symptoms of anxiety disorders.Weight loss and obesity. Preliminary evidence suggests that taking 5-HTP might help reduce appetite, caloric intake, and weight in obese people.Premenstrual syndrome (PMS).Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Sleep disorders.

  • 5-HTP USES & EFFECTIVENESS

    Possibly Effective for:

Depression. There is some evidence that 5-HTP might be about as effective as some prescription drugs for depression.

Fibromyalgia. Taking 5-HTP by mouth appears to improve symptoms of fibromyalgia including pain severity, morning stiffness, and sleeplessness.

    Possibly Ineffective for:

Tension headaches. Taking 5-HTP doesn’t seem to reduce pain or the number of headaches suffered by people with chronic tension-type headaches.

  • Is there a safe or natural diet pill I can take to lose weight? I am at my biggest right now 145lbs and am 5'5 I want to go back down to 130 . I tried south beach diet and it worked but lately I can't get myself to do it again. I need a jump start! Thanks!

  • @MyTalen143 Hey there! Unfortunately, there have not been any studies done in the area of 5HTP and the effects it has on pregnant or nursing women. In my opinion, I feel that good old fruits, vegetables, healthy proteins, healthy fats and sunshine are probably better than any supplement for pregnant women. Thanks so much for your comment & question!

  • Brenda, thank you for what you do. I am over 40 and very overweight,my Dr considers me the healthiest fat woman he knows, just eat less and excersise more, right? Not at all. With a wheat and lactose allergy (now found) I'd never have had success. Your tips, recipies, informational clip and excersie ideas have been a blessing. Keep doing what you do and know you do help make a difference.

  • @DonnaJean1969 I feel blessed to have any impact (big or small)...thank you so much for your comments. And little by little, you'll get where you want to be. Mark my words :)

  • I used to take Natrol 5-HTP when I was a raging maniac. Now I am a controlled raging maniac. :)

  • So where do you buy them? Walmart?

  • @SovietPB GNC

  • @SovietPB Or iHerb. Seems a lot cheaper than GNC.
