nothing beats this horse... he is pure beauty... the desert type DOES look like that and is very dry...
look at greyhounds... they have nothing of a bulldog either after all...
one of the purest and most ancient breeds of horses... ekemen displays pure beauty... wow... and the perfect color for a horse IMO... thanks for posting... he's a gem !!!!!!
Akhal-Teke should not look like this. He is a good stallion who has produced some very good off-spring but is in a poor condition and his conformation has a lot of faults, and this is nothing to do with him being a Teke. His withers are too high and his loin is weak but this is exacerbated by the way he has been kept poorly.
i think you r right that there is nothing specially wrong with his back but when we talk about "Type"in tekes, this guy doesnt fit well,i can bet with normal english saddle he will get sores.
Akhal Tekes are naturally skinny as they're a desert breed. When I first saw them I thought the same but after doing some research and having a look at some more photos they're now one of my favourite breeds!
his back looks a little funny, but i'm not used to this breed

how did they allow him to breed with a back like this?

Akhal Tekes are built like this naturally. There's nothing especially wrong with his back - he just has incredibly pronounced withers.
I used to think that Tekes were horrible to look at but now? Now I can't get enough of them!

Akhal-Tekes are a beautiful breed. His color is great, but what is wrong with his back, its bowed... How old is this stallion?

He is only 16 years (born 1991) but it looks like he doesn't have any muscle. Maybe he's a hard keeper.
I like some of his foals, especially by Sajathanum and her family, and they have good strong backs.

No other breed moves like this - liquid metal. What a joy!

Tak zaprvý to není ona, nýbrž velmi významný plemený hřebec :oD
a za druhý, je to jeho přirozeností že je tak hubený, toto plemeno to má v sobě.
