  • I had high hopes for XWF when it started up. 2002 was a wild time with several promotions trying to fill the vacuum left by WCW. WXO, MECW, and WWA were a few of the others. Wild listening to Jerry Lawler on commentary. I have to say that XWF had a decent roster filled with WCW guys, some old time WWF guys and some indy cruiserweight types.

  • So WWE doesn't own the who XWF library right and doesn't Jimmy Hart own the rights to that and the Wolfpac theme

  • @cwp4eva Jimmy owns the XWF library as far as I know but did license this match for one of the Hogan DVDs. Jimmy does own the Wolfpac theme and of course American Made. On a related note, Jeff Jarrett owns the "Our House" theme (knockoff of the NWO theme) that Hogan sometimes uses in TNA. It was a short lived NWO 2000 theme in WCW.

  • Whatever happened to the XWF?

  • XWF Should've Been On TV

  • @bueller9210 true

  • WWE should release the XWF stuff. A brief documentary then a selection of matches. I know I'd buy it.

  • XWF was basically WCW after WCW folded. The only difference was Jerry Lawler as color analysis! Epic. I can't believe this didn't succeed.

  • WELL YOU KNOW SOMETHIN' MEAN GENE!!!!

  • the only way this could have been any better is if they used the original WWF music....great match!! just like the good ol days

  • Schiavone and Lawler on the mic sounds so wrong.

Fun match and nice work from Hulk and Perfect.

  • wow jerry and tony together on the mic

  • How the heck did the WWE get this footage? I didn't even know any really existed!

    Great match, too!

  • Great great short match. Good timing by both guys. Hogan looked great. No one rushed anything and the ending...classic. Good nostalgic match-up.

  • XWF is owned by wwe????? If not why is the wwe logo in bottom

  • @ChadTheWrestleManiac This is from Hogans DVD that was released from WWE.

  • @theuniquemusic yeah I brough the DVD back in 2008

  • @ChadTheWrestleManiac This footage is now owned by WWE, it is from the defunct Xcitement Wrestling Federation...this organization was short lived. The organization's heyday was from early November of 2001 to late February of 2002 and was owned by Jimmy Hart. The company basicly bombed due to no televison contract in the USA however the XWF invaded WWC in Puerto Rico in 2002. WWE brought the footage to used on DVD documentaries that feautured Hogan, Piper, and Henning mainly.

  • @ChadTheWrestleManiac In 2006, WWE licensed a match from the XWF tape library for use on the Hulk Hogan Anthology DVD.

  • Xcitement Wrestling Federation not Extreme Wrestling Federation

  • @kissmusiclover That a common mistake

  • does wwe own this too???
