  • that is a BEAUTIFUL bass what model pbass is that?

  • is there a ukulele version of steriods?

  • @jaydybayby whats steroids send me the link in a comment...

  • @jaydybayby oh steroids... like drugs hahaa i get it now... 1 month later XD

  • what tuning is this in?

  • @PureZOOKS not sure but he used to be in the langley ukulele association and i was in it when i was younger and we all used the tuning of: A D F# B ... hope thats helpful...

  • @fayenesse thanks.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • wow! i never knew that ukes were also made electric.

  • Oh. My God. That was insane. :D

  • is he using a pick for this??

  • @blacktoothdbandit looks like it.. his finger seem to be in pick formation =P

  • Is he using a pick?

  • THUNDER

  • The bass player needs to learn the Flight, methinks.

  • James is playing a free clinic on Tuesday April 6th, 4:30 at Long and Mcquade on Bloor St in Toronto. Bring your Uke.

  • @dm7b5 :( im in Vancouver..

  • he looks better with long hair now

  • great playing but horrible arrangement

  • James Hill pushing the limits of the uke once again. I play Jack Fina's version on the piano and I know what his left hand is going through. I just can't translate it to the uke because the neck of the uke isn't stable enough ( to say nothing of the lack of skill). I've played Jame;s uke; it is SOLID and you can depend on the uke to stay put while your fingers are doing the fret work, Earl Ledden

  • I wonder how long it took him to transpose this one. rofl.

  • 8 minutes?

  • 1:03. na nana na nana na na na THUNDER! XD

  • that is hilarious! i totally didn't hear that until you posted this.

  • His CD "Playing Like It Isn't" doesn't have the Thunderstruck part. Next time I meet him, I'm gonna ask him if he could play it and other AC/DC licks.

  • Love the AC/DC Thunderstruck reference. Brilliant!

  • i wish i could play like that!

  • Ukulele's are the best!

  • Amazing... and there's something about the tone of a uke that makes flight of the bumblebee sound so... right... like it was written for the instrument

  • where can i meet the devil to sell my soul for such talent?

  • At the Crossroads.

  • Wow! I'm impressed how people actually hit every note when playing this fast. It's something i feel I'll never master :(

  • thunderstruck lol

  • James Hill > Jake Shimabukuro

  • anyone got them tabs??

  • lol. He threw Thunderstruck in there by AC/DC. Did anyone else catch that?

  • i did

  • Cool

  • Sure did

  • great musicmaking! looks like they're having fun.. highlight for me is the girl who takes some coffee in the background not caring much for the music.. and with the face of James Hill being really into the music..around 1.40 hehe

  • Jake Shimabukuro is serious about his music but he has a great sense of humor...watch some of his videos here

  • James seems to have a sense of humor with his music where as Jake seems to like to be serious and good.

  • haha cool that he did the thunderstruck riff in the middle

  • I love how despite the difficult song hes playing you get amused by thunderstruck. The average human brain for you..

  • too many of dem big words dere... i aint no simple minded fella i like me some good ol ac/dc, hyuck!

    ::blows kiss::

  • yes, ultimo101, you're right, I'm sure james hill stuck that riff in the middle so that you could be an asshole, not so people could be amused...

  • Actually, that's exactly why James threw the AC/DC thing in there. To amuse the audience and provide something of a surprise. If you attend one of his workshops you will see that he recommends building little musical surprises into a performance. Not only for the benefit of the audience but so the player also has something to look forward to.

  • One of the best ukulele players in the world.

  • all the way, im pretty sure this guy could kick jake shimabakakakarooroo's ass,

  • You're comparing artists?

    Music isn't a competition.

  • I totally agree with ReallyKevin. Music is about each different artist expressing themselves and their opinion through their music. So it is not a competition.

  • :) I totally agree with whackyata.

  • and I totally agree with both of you guys X3

  • I agree with lernon.

  • Wow. He's awesome.

  • wow he is good!!

  • james hill is the best!!

  • Meeean!

    This place looks so familiar.

    Where is it?

  • One of the, if not, the best ukulele virtuoso in the world!

  • james hill is the man

  • whoaaa shit haha mean
