gamzatti costum is very original.. she look like a porcelain doll.. and stand out very much.. colors are so elegants.. dancers and orchestra too.. congratulations at all!!! Frigerio and Squarciapino have done very excellent work..

I would like to see Osipova coupled with Hilaire in the beggining jump sequence. She's probably the only female who can remain long enough in the air to synchronize the jumps.

Costumes, dancers, musicians, etc. at the Opera de Paris are the best. Good taste and quality, no way around.

wow, its amazing! beautiful corps de ballet, nice soloists! for my taste, gamzatis variation was just a bit strange with the ballonées, they don't match to the music. i really like solors variation danced by kumakawa, its just ... wow! ;-)

I just wish the women didn't look malnourished. In comparison to amazing dancers such as Gillian Murphy, they almost look anorexic.

I much prefer Maria Alexandrova's more aggressive and space-devouring take on this variation. A Gamzatti needs to have fangs and not be "too pretty". I like Isabelle Guerin in other roles, just not this one.

i love this pdd. but her coda variation with the reverse italian fouetes were a bit weird, and i didnt like her arms in her regular fouettes either, but i LOVE her overall, she plays Gamzati very well

Slightly worth mentioning, but not relevant in comparison to the rest of the variation. I also think it's the conductor's tempi more than her. Bravissima Platel! Magnficent and impeccable!

i like most of the nureyev production, but i really can't stand the new gamzatti variation. he has cut out the best bits and as the music builds the choreography is a complete anticlimax. love platel, though

Rudolf Noureev have choregraphied La Bayadere for POB only 4 month before his death. He was ill and Elisabeth Platel said in an interview he concentrate on some part of the ballet in particular mime scenes but not this Pas de deux.

The two dancers Elisabeth Platel and Laurent Hilaire have often work with Noureev so he had confidence in their ability to dance this pas de deux i think.
